Abstract

The growing urgency of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has highlighted the need for innovative educational models that integrate ethical values with practical actions, particularly within faith-based institutions. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) possess strong potential to contribute to sustainability through their integrative educational systems, yet the connection between religious values and sustainable economic practices remains insufficiently explored. This study aims to analyze the integration of ecotheology education into entrepreneurship practices, examine the process of value internalization, and evaluate its implications for SDG-oriented character development among students. A qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design was employed at an Islamic boarding school in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving 15 key informants, and analyzed using thematic analysis supported by NVivo software. The findings reveal that the integration occurs through a three-dimensional approach—curricular, cultural, and operational—enabling the transformation of ecotheological values into sustainable entrepreneurial practices. The internalization process follows a cyclical pattern involving value formation, habituation, implementation, and reflection, resulting in the emergence of a Santri Ecopreneur profile characterized by ecological awareness, economic competence, and social responsibility. This study concludes that ecotheology-based entrepreneurship provides a viable and replicable model for linking religious education with sustainable development practices, contributing both theoretically to integrative Islamic education and practically to the advancement of SDGs at the community level.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of an Islamic psychology approach based on edupreneurship values by teachers in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at MTs 2 Annuqayah Guluk-Guluk Sumenep. It also identifies the forms of student learning engagement (behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement) and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The focus is on the application of the Islamic psychology approach, the forms of student engagement, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study used a qualitative case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five key informants and 15 supporting informants, observations in two classes, grade VIII, and documentation conducted during December 2025. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that the Islamic psychology approach based on edupreneurship is implemented as a holistic, integrative, and transformative learning approach. This approach successfully increased student learning engagement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at MTs 2 Annuqayah Guluk-Guluk.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Islamic elementary schools (madrasah ibtidaiyah) depends heavily on the principal's managerial skills in formulating flagship programs relevant to community needs. MIN 3 Sumenep integrates the Quranic memorization program not merely as an extracurricular activity, but as a strategic instrument for building the institution's brand and producing spiritually competitive graduates. One of MIN 3 Sumenep's flagship programs is the implementation of the Quranic memorization program, an effort to improve the quality of education at the school, located in Tanjung, Saronggi. This is based on the observation that MIN 3 Sumenep is a formal educational institution with a significant student population. This analysis aims to describe the contribution of the principal's leadership model to improving the quality of education through the Quranic memorization program and to explain the progress of its implementation. This research used qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of the principal of MIN 3 Sumenep and the Quranic memorization teacher. The research object focused on the principal's leadership model and the implementation of the Quranic memorization program. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research results show that: (1) the madrasah principal's leadership model is democratic and participatory; (2) the development of the madrasah's vision, mission, objectives, and work plan is carried out through a deliberation mechanism that includes planning, organizing, and monitoring functions; (3) the applied Qur'an memorization methods include the tasmi' and murajaah techniques; and (4) the madrasah committee and parents provide significant support for the program's success.
