Abstract

Tembi Tourism Village has skilled local communities in natural fiber craftsmanship: however, most of the products are still produces as white-label goods and have not been integrated into the village economic ecosystem. This research aims to formulate a community product design strategy that integrates the potential of local artisans with the needs of homestay amenities through a circular economy approach. The study employed an exploratory qualitative method using Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and interviews with tourism stakeholder. The result recommend the development of amenity products such as toiletry container, room slippers, and coasters that are collaboratively produced by local residents and directly used within the homestay network in Tembi. This strategy not only creates a strong visual identity for the village but also ensures that economic benefits continue to circulate within the local community in accordance with the principles of Community-Based Tourism (CBT)
