Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of metacognitive strategies on the learning outcomes of Grade XI Social Studies students in Economics at SMA Negeri 8 Ambon during the pandemic. Metacognitive strategies were selected for their ability to help students recognize, control, and evaluate their own thinking processes—an essential skill in remote learning environments that require high autonomy. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample included two classes: an experimental group using metacognitive strategies and a control group employing conventional methods. Instruments included a multiple-choice learning outcomes test and an observation sheet for student learning activities. The results show that the application of metacognitive strategies significantly improves students' learning outcomes. It also enhances student engagement, reflective thinking, and decision-making in solving economics problems. The study recommends that teachers incorporate more metacognitive strategies into the teaching process, especially in online or hybrid learning settings

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Google Meet application as a learning medium for Social Studies (IPS) during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 7 Malteng. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that Google Meet provides ease of access, time flexibility, and the ability to present relevant visual materials such as maps and infographics. Teachers are able to deliver content directly and interactively; however, the effectiveness of learning largely depends on infrastructure readiness, the digital competence of both teachers and students, and the instructional strategies applied. Challenges encountered include limited two-way interaction, technical issues such as connectivity disruptions, and low student motivation. In the context of Social Studies, which requires dialogue and contextual understanding, the use of Google Meet alone is not fully optimal without integrating additional learning media. This study contributes to the development of adaptive online learning strategies and provides policy recommendations for more inclusive and collaborative technology-based education

Abstract

Learning motivation is a key determinant of students’ academic success, including those receiving the KIP-Kuliah scholarship. Despite being selected based on merit, some students show academic instability across semesters. This study aims to analyze the learning motivation of KIP-Kuliah recipients in the 2020–2021 cohort of the Economic Education Study Program. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through unstructured interviews and documentation from four purposively selected students. The main findings reveal that while most students demonstrate an intrinsic desire to succeed, inconsistent academic behavior persists, such as tardiness, lack of discipline, and inadequate learning environments. Both internal and external factors significantly influence fluctuations in GPA. It is thus crucial for institutions to foster a supportive academic ecosystem by providing adequate learning facilities and recognizing positive behaviors. Academic mentoring programs focusing on sustained motivation development are also recommended as part of a long-term strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa besar minat beli konsumen sagu di desa kamarian kabupaten Seram bagian barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu metode dimana data dikumpulkan, kemudian dianalisis sehingga dapat menjelaskan berapa besar minat beli konsumen sagu di desa kamarian kabupaten Seram bagian barat. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dalam bentuk wawancara dan dokumentasi Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan informasi dari 5 orang responden yakni Masyarakat negeri kamarian Dusun marponewey Kabupaten Seram bagian barat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga sagu di Desa Kamarian berkisar antara Rp6.000 per kilo untuk sagu basah dan Rp200.000 per karung. Harga sagu cenderung fluktuatif, terutama saat musim hujan atau ketika akses transportasi terganggu. Petani sagu di Desa Kamarian memiliki posisi tawar yang lemah terhadap pembeli dan kurangnya informasi mengenai harga pasar di luar desa. Selain itu, proses pengolahan sagu masih menggunakan alat tradisional yang menyebabkan biaya tenaga kerja tinggi dan waktu produksi yang lama

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada Minimarket HD Mart yang berlokasi di Negeri Laimu, Kecamatan Telutih, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pelanggan yang berbelanja di Minimarket HD Mart. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi kualitas pelayanan sebagai variabel independen dan kepuasan pelanggan sebagai variabel dependen. Kualitas pelayanan diukur berdasarkan dimensi reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, dan tangibles. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Pelayanan yang cepat, ramah, serta fasilitas yang memadai memberikan pengalaman berbelanja yang lebih baik bagi konsumen. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pelayanan perlu terus dilakukan agar mampu meningkatkan kepuasan dan loyalitas pelanggan terhadap minimarket. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan strategi pelayanan pada usaha ritel khususnya minimarket.
