Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas kontribusi Ismail al-Faruqi terhadap pengembangan studi agama komparatif pada masa kini, khususnya dalam konteks pendekatan integratif yang menggabungkan rasionalitas akademik dan komitmen etis keagamaan. Al-Faruqi menegaskan pentingnya objektivitas, empati intelektual, dan keterlibatan dialogis antartradisi keagamaan sebagai fondasi dalam membangun pemahaman lintas iman yang konstruktif. Melalui analisis pemikirannya, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa metode komparatif yang ditawarkan al-Faruqi tidak hanya memperkaya kerangka epistemologis studi agama modern, tetapi juga memberikan arah baru bagi pengembangan disiplin yang lebih inklusif dan relevan dengan tantangan global kontemporer, seperti pluralisme, intoleransi, dan konflik antaragama. Kontribusinya terbukti signifikan dalam mendorong terciptanya pendekatan komparatif yang bersifat dialogis, transformatif, dan adaptif terhadap dinamika sosial keagamaan masa kini. Kata Kunci: Ismail al-Faruqi, studi agama komparatif, dialog antaragama Abstract This study examines the contributions of Ismail al-Faruqi to the development of contemporary comparative religion studies, particularly focusing on his integrative approach that combines academic rationality with ethical religious commitment. Al-Faruqi emphasized the importance of objectivity, intellectual empathy, and dialogical engagement among religious traditions as fundamental principles for fostering constructive interfaith understanding. Through an analysis of his ideas, this research finds that his comparative method enriches the epistemological framework of modern religious studies and provides a new direction for cultivating a more inclusive discipline capable of addressing contemporary global challenges such as pluralism, intolerance, and interreligious conflict. His contributions are shown to be significant in promoting a dialogical, transformative, and socially responsive approach to comparative religion in the present era.
