Abstract

ABSTRAKEstimasi sumber daya batubara serta sebaran nilai kalor dan kandungan sulfur total di wilayah kerja PT KTC Coal Mining & Energy tepatnya di Site Cakra Andatu Sukses di Kabupaten Barito Utara, Kalimantan Tengah, sangat penting dilakukan untuk kepentingan ekplorasi dan studi kelayakan tambang. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan data dari 199 titik pengeboran eksplorasi. Proses pemodelan geologi dan perhitungan sumber daya menggunakan software MineScape versi 5.7, dengan pendekatan Metode Elemen Hingga (FEM) dan mengacu pada standar SNI 5015:2019. Dari hasil interpretasi geologi, ditemukan enam lapisan (seam) batubara utama, yaitu lapisan AC, AB, AA, A, B, dan C. Rata-rata ketebalan masing-masing lapisan bervariasi antara 0,9 hingga 1,7 meter. Total sumber daya batubara yang dihitung mencapai sekitar 49.148.000 ton, dimana lapisan C menyumbang volume terbesar dibandingkan lapisan lainnya. Nilai kalor batubara di wilayah ini berada pada kisaran 4.254–4.882 kkal/kg, dengan lapisan A mencatat nilai kalori tertinggi. Sedangkan kandungan sulfur total batubara bervariasi antara 0,28% hingga 1,21%, dan lapisan C menunjukkan kandungan sulfur paling rendah yang menunjukkan kualitas batubara yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Informasi mengenai sebaran kualitas batubara sangat penting sebagai dasar penyusunan strategi produksi dan pengendalian kualitas batubara di lapangan. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan pengelolaan sumber daya batubara yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan, sekaligus mendukung praktik pertambangan yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan.Kata-kata kunci: Batubara, Sumberdaya, Kalori, Total sulfur, FEM ABSTRACTThe estimation of coal resources and the spatial distribution of calorific value and total sulfur content at the Cakra Andatu Sukses Site of PT KTC Coal Mining & Energy, located in North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, are critical for exploration and mine feasibility studies. This study utilized data from 199 exploration boreholes. Geological modeling and resource calculations were conducted using MineScape version 5.7 software, employing the Finite Element Method (FEM) in compliance with the SNI 5015:2019 standard. Geological interpretation identified six primary coal seams: AC, AB, AA, A, B, and C, with average thicknesses ranging from 0.9 to 1.7 meters. The total estimated coal resource is approximately 49,148,000 tons, with Seam C contributing the largest volume. The calorific values within the study area range from 4,254 to 4,882 kcal/kg, with Seam A exhibiting the highest energy content. Total sulfur content varies between 0.28% and 1.21%, where Seam C recorded the lowest sulfur levels, indicating a more environmentally favorable coal quality. Information regarding the distribution of coal quality is essential for production strategizing and on-site quality control. The results of this study are expected to serve as a framework for more efficient and sustainable coal resource management while supporting responsible mining practices.Keywords: Coal, Resources, Calorie, Total sulfur, FEM
