Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and organizational support on health workers’ performance through work balance at Haji Makassar Regional General Hospital, South Sulawesi Province. This research used a quantitative survey approach. The sample consisted of 102 health workers. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings show that workload has a positive and significant effect on work balance, organizational support has a positive and significant effect on work balance, workload has a positive and significant effect on health workers’ performance, organizational support has a positive and significant effect on health workers’ performance, and work balance has a positive and significant effect on health workers’ performance. The indirect effect testing indicates that work balance mediates the effect of workload and organizational support on health workers’ performance. These findings emphasize that health workers’ performance is not only shaped by work demands, but also by the organization’s ability to manage workload proportionally, provide meaningful support, and maintain work balance so that health workers can perform service tasks consistently.
