Abstract

This study explores the relationship between songs, emotions and the construction of the meaning of life built through David Krech's psychological classification theory. Songs function as a medium that is not only entertainment but also an expression of feelings that can be adapted from the actual situation and also the experience of individuals in a certain space and time, the main purpose of this study is to identify the types of emotions that exist in the lyrics of the album building and destroying feast works. In addition, the study also aims to analyze and describe in detail how the meaning of life can be a factor in influencing the emotions of individuals, through David Krech's classification of emotions with a descriptive qualitative research method approach, the results of the data findings will be analyzed according to the technique and also through valid data sources to test its validity. In addition, this study also explains that song lyrics can be studied through the study of literary psychology which indirectly becomes a reference and also education for readers that literature lives in the daily lives of individuals and is unconsciously able to provide the best contribution to the readers of this study, this study is expected to be able to contribute to further research on the study of literary psychology

Abstract

This study aims to examine the deconstructionist view of the characters in the film “Di Bawah Lindungan Ka’bah”by director Hanny R. Saputra, which is a transformation of the novel by Buya Hamka. The purpose of this study is to describe the deconstructionist view of the characters in the film “Di Bawah Lindungan Ka’bah”. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with Jacques Derrida's theory. The data in this study comes from the film “Di Bawah Lindungan Ka’bah” which is analyzed to find the deconstruction of the characters' characters. The results show that there is a hidden reality of the characters in the film Under the Protection of the Ka'bah. The deconstructionist view in this study is used to dismantle the meaning that seems certain in the audience's view. The results of the study found that there is a meaning that is removed from the surface view of the characters. The deconstructionist view proves that the characters in the characters cannot be viewed stably with the image of the protagonist and antagonist. Some characters depicted as protagonists, apparently have hidden realities, while some characters depicted as antagonists also have hidden facts from their characters

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis makna konotasi postif serta makna yang ingin disampaikan dalam tradisi basiacuong masyarakat Kampar dalam bentuk petatah-petitih, ungkapan adat, dan dialog simbolik pada kegiatan adat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data berupa tuturan basiacuong yang diperoleh melalui observasi, teknik rekam, dan wawancara Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 14 tuturan yang mengandung makna konotasi, terdiri atas 9 konotasi positif tinggi dan 6 konotasi positif rendah. Konotasi positif tinggi digunakan untuk menyampaikan penghormatan, kesepakatan, kebersamaan, dan penguatan keputusan adat. Sementara itu, konotasi positif rendah berfungsi menyampaikan kerendahan hati, kesantunan, kesiapan menerima keputusan, serta kejelasan maksud. Makna yang ingin disampaikan dalam tuturan basiacuong  meliputi ajakan bermusyawarah, penghormatan terhadap hierarki adat, penolakan secara halus, nasihat kehati-hatian, tanggung jawab, serta upaya menjaga keharmonisan hubungan sosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa konotasi dalam basiacuong  mencerminkan nilai budaya masyarakat Kampar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ecranization of the novel Dia Angkasa by Nurwina Sari into the web series Dia Angkasa directed by Adhe Dharmastriya, focusing on the aspects of plot, characters, and setting. The background of this research is driven by the popularity of the novel, which reached over 8 million readers on Wattpad, and its subsequent adaptation into a modern audiovisual format like a web series. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with an ecranization theory approach by Pamusuk Eneste. Data were collected through reading, taking notes, and observing the web series episodes. The results showed significant changes in three aspects: reduction, addition, and varied changes. In the plot aspect, 32 reductions, 22 additions, and 15 varied changes were found. Regarding characters, there were 16 reductions, 7 additions, and 1 varied change. In the setting aspect, the study identified 12 reductions, 7 additions, and 3 varied changes. These transformations occur due to medium differences, duration constraints, and the director's creative interpretation to make the story more visually appealing and dramatic while maintaining the original essence of the literary work.
