Abstract

Abstrak: Nagari Malalak Barat, Kabupaten Agam, merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil kayu manis di Sumatera Barat dengan potensi besar untuk dikembangkan dalam kerangka ekonomi sirkular. Namun, masyarakat setempat masih menghadapi kendala dalam diversifikasi produk, pemanfaatan teknologi, akses pasar, dan pengelolaan usaha. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas ibu-ibu PKK melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, serta pendampingan dan monitoring usaha berbasis kayu manis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan diversifikasi produk (minyak esensial, teh herbal, olahan pangan), pemasaran digital, manajemen usaha, serta desain kemasan dan branding. Peserta juga dilatih dalam penggunaan teknologi produksi dan pemasaran, pengelolaan database pelanggan, serta analisis pasar. Hasil evaluasi pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dari skor awal 30–45% menjadi 75–85% setelah program, terutama pada aspek diversifikasi produk, kesadaran ekonomi sirkular, dan keterampilan pemasaran digital. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas 14 ibu-ibu PKK di Nagari Malalak Barat melalui diversifikasi produk kayu manis berbasis ekonomi sirkular dengan metode pelatihan, pendampingan, dan penerapan teknologi, yang terbukti meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dari 30–45% menjadi 75–85% terutama pada aspek produksi, pemasaran digital, dan manajemen usaha.Abstract: Malalak Barat Village, Agam Regency, is one of the major cinnamon-producing centers in West Sumatra with significant potential for development within the framework of a circular economy. However, the local community still faces challenges in product diversification, technology adoption, market access, and business management. This community service program was implemented to enhance the capacity of PKK women through outreach, training, technology adoption, as well as business mentoring and monitoring focused on cinnamon-based enterprises. Implementation methods included training on product diversification (essential oils, herbal tea, processed foods), digital marketing, business management, and packaging design and branding. Participants were also trained in the use of production and marketing technologies, customer database management, and market analysis. Results from pre- and post-test evaluations showed a significant improvement, from initial scores of 30–45% to 75–85% after the program, particularly in the areas of product diversification, circular economy awareness, and digital marketing skills. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of 14 PKK women in Nagari Malalak Barat through the diversification of cinnamon-based products using a circular economy approach, employing training, mentoring, and technology implementation. This approach has proven to improve participants’ skills from 30–45% to 75–85%, particularly in the areas of production, digital marketing, and business management.
