Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job stress on turnover intention with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in village employees in Singaparna District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The study used a quantitative method with a causality approach through Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4.0. The study sample consisted of 55 village employees selected using a census technique. The results showed that job stress had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, meaning that the higher the level of job stress, the higher the employee's desire to leave the job. In addition, job stress had a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction, while job satisfaction had a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. This study also proved that job satisfaction was able to significantly mediate the effect of job stress on turnover intention. These findings demonstrate the importance of managing job stress and increasing job satisfaction to reduce the turnover intention in village employees in Singaparna District.
