Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of Islamic financial literacy among the people of Mandala Village and its role in supporting sustainable economic resilience. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the Village Head, village officials, community leaders, housewives, business owners, and users of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) products. The results show that the level of Islamic financial literacy in Mandala Village is still low, as indicated by the limited understanding of Islamic financial concepts and products, as well as financial management practices that remain simple and poorly planned. This low level of literacy is influenced by a lack of education and socialization, limited access to information, and low levels of financial education. Nevertheless, the community shows considerable interest in learning about and utilizing Islamic financial services. Islamic financial literacy plays an important role in helping people manage their finances more effectively, thereby strengthening economic resilience. Therefore, continuous education, training, and mentoring are needed to improve the Islamic financial literacy of the people of Mandala Village. Keywords: Islamic financial literacy, economic resilience, rural community, Islamic finance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Village Fund allocation in promoting community welfare improvement in Mawu Village, Ambalawi District, Bima Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants, and documentation studies. The informants in this study included the Village Head, Village Secretary, Village Treasurer, members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), community leaders, and residents who benefited from Village Fund programs. Meanwhile, the documents reviewed included the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDes), the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes), the Village Government Work Plan (RKPDes), and reports on the realization of Village Fund utilization. The results of the study show that Village Fund allocation in Mawu Village was implemented through three main stages: planning, implementation, and accountability. The realization of the Village Fund in 2024 and 2025 reached 100%, indicating that budget absorption was effective. The impact of Village Fund allocation on community welfare can be seen in the improvement of basic infrastructure, such as village roads, drainage systems, clean water facilities, and public street lighting, as well as in the strengthening of community participation and social cooperation. However, economic empowerment programs still need to be strengthened so that the use of Village Funds does not only focus on physical development but also supports sustainable income growth and community economic independence.

Abstract

This study examines the development of ecotourism from an Islamic perspective, focusing on the application of Islamic values, the various challenges that arise, and an ideal model relevant to the social and cultural context of Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. The data sources include the Qur’an, authentic hadiths, classical fiqh literature, and national tourism policy documents. The results indicate that the development of ecotourism grounded in Islamic values has a solid theological foundation through the concepts of khalifah, amanah, and mizan. The application of Islamic values in ecotourism practices includes environmental conservation, community empowerment, the implementation of business ethics, and the provision of facilities that are welcoming to Muslim tourists. Nevertheless, the development of ecotourism based on Islamic values still faces various significant challenges, such as limited infrastructure, low public awareness, suboptimal regulations, and the dilemma between applying Islamic values and the principle of inclusivity. An ideal model for ecotourism development from an Islamic perspective must integrate the principles of maqasid al-shari’ah, the pentahelix collaboration approach, and the harmonization of Islamic values with local wisdom. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening Sharia-based regulations, enhancing community empowerment, and developing supporting infrastructure to realize sustainable Islamic ecotourism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of turmeric commodities in improving farmers’ welfare from the perspective of Islamic economics in Riamau Village, Bima Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation involving 10 turmeric farmers in Riamau Village. The results of the study show that turmeric farmers in Riamau Village still sell their harvests directly to the market without intermediaries or middlemen. The selling price of turmeric ranges from IDR 30,000 per 10 kilograms, with the product sold in raw form. Turmeric production is still conducted traditionally, and the average harvest income only reaches around IDR 300,000 – 500,000 per harvest each year. This income has not been sufficient to meet daily living needs because turmeric farming is only considered an additional source of income. In addition, farmers have only received training once and still face unstable market prices. From the perspective of Islamic economics, turmeric farming practices in Riamau Village reflect the principles of honesty and transparency in transactions. However, these practices have not been optimal in realizing the welfare and public benefit (maslahah) of farmers. Therefore, government support, stronger marketing strategies, continuous training, and turmeric product processing are needed to create higher economic added value.
