Abstract

This community service activity aimed to introduce and implement Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) or sondir testing as an initial method for evaluating soil bearing capacity in the construction plan of Masjid Jami’ Raudhatul Jannah, located in East Jakarta. Soil investigation plays a crucial role in ensuring the structural safety and stability of buildings, particularly for public facilities such as mosques. The program was conducted through field observations, technical explanations, and direct demonstrations of CPT procedures to mosque administrators and local community representatives. The test results provided information regarding soil stratification, cone resistance, and estimated bearing capacity at the proposed construction site. The activity also enhanced participants’ understanding of the importance of geotechnical investigations prior to construction work. Through this program, the community gained practical knowledge about soil testing methods and their contribution to minimizing structural risks and supporting sustainable building development. The implementation of CPT testing is expected to become a reference for future construction planning in the area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja struktur Gedung Pengolahan/Pencucian Sarang Walet di Hambalang, Bogor, yang direncanakan menggunakan sistem rangka beton bertulang dengan bantuan perangkat lunak ETABS versi 22.6. Perencanaan mengacu pada SNI 1727:2020 untuk pembebanan minimum, SNI 1726:2019 untuk ketahanan gempa, dan SNI 2847:2019 untuk persyaratan beton struktural. Model tiga dimensi disusun dengan mendefinisikan karakteristik material, dimensi balok, kolom, pelat, dan elemen atap, kemudian diberikan beban mati, beban hidup, beban hujan, beban mati tambahan, serta beban gempa arah X dan Y melalui kombinasi Load and Resistance Factor Design. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lendutan vertikal akibat kombinasi beban layan sebesar 75,865 mm masih berada di bawah batas izin 125 mm, sehingga memenuhi persyaratan. Pada arah horizontal, lendutan kondisi beban layan sebesar 41,00 mm melampaui batas izin 16 mm. Respons gempa arah X menghasilkan lendutan 18,00 mm dan dinyatakan aman karena lebih kecil dari batas 40 mm, sedangkan gempa arah Y menghasilkan lendutan 79,00 mm dengan drift ratio 0,9875%, sehingga belum memenuhi kriteria. Perencanaan tulangan balok, kolom, dan pelat dilakukan berdasarkan gaya dalam maksimum hasil ETABS. Secara umum, elemen struktur memenuhi persyaratan kekuatan, tetapi peningkatan kekakuan lateral pada arah Y diperlukan agar kinerja layan dan seismik bangunan terpenuhi secara menyeluruh.
