Abstract

Business management literacy has become increasingly important in supporting entrepreneurial sustainability, organizational adaptability, and community economic resilience in contemporary economic environments. Rapid technological transformation, digital business expansion, and global market competition require local business communities to possess strong managerial competence and strategic business understanding. This community service program aimed to strengthen business management literacy among community business participants in China through participatory educational activities and collaborative mentoring approaches. The program employed a qualitative participatory method involving small business owners, local entrepreneurs, family business operators, and community business groups through workshops, business simulations, mentoring sessions, and collaborative discussions. Educational activities focused on financial management, business planning, leadership development, operational coordination, digital business adaptation, and customer communication strategies. The results demonstrated significant improvement in participants’ managerial competence, financial literacy, organizational awareness, communication skills, and understanding regarding digital business systems. Participants also showed increased confidence in applying structured business planning, budgeting practices, and technology-based marketing strategies within their business operations. In addition, collaborative learning activities positively influenced participants’ problem-solving abilities, entrepreneurial motivation, and organizational adaptability. Despite challenges related to differences in educational backgrounds, technological familiarity, and managerial experience, participatory educational approaches and continuous mentoring contributed positively to strengthening sustainable business management practices. Overall, the implementation of community-based business management education provided valuable opportunities for improving entrepreneurial resilience, strengthening organizational sustainability, and supporting long-term economic participation within local business communities in China.

Abstract

Social cohesion has become a critical concern in contemporary societies characterized by increasing cultural diversity, globalization, and international mobility. In China, higher education institutions have experienced significant demographic transformations due to the growing presence of ethnic minority students, international students, and cross-cultural academic exchanges. These developments necessitate the implementation of multicultural education to foster mutual understanding, intercultural competence, and social harmony among students. This study aims to examine the role of multicultural education in enhancing social cohesion within Chinese higher education institutions. Employing a qualitative literature-based approach, the study synthesizes contemporary theories of multicultural education, social cohesion, intercultural communication, and inclusive educational practices. The findings indicate that multicultural education contributes significantly to reducing prejudice, promoting cultural awareness, strengthening intercultural interactions, and fostering a sense of belonging among diverse student populations. Furthermore, multicultural educational practices encourage students to develop empathy, respect for diversity, and collaborative problem-solving skills, which are essential for maintaining social cohesion in multicultural societies. The study also identifies several challenges, including curriculum limitations, unequal cultural representation, and institutional barriers that may hinder the effective implementation of multicultural education. The research proposes a conceptual framework integrating multicultural pedagogy, intercultural competence, and inclusive campus policies to strengthen social cohesion in Chinese higher education. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications for policymakers, educators, and university administrators seeking to cultivate inclusive and harmonious learning environments in an increasingly diverse educational landscape.

Abstract

This study presents a novel framework for personalized causal inference in media effectiveness using Hierarchical Bayesian Market Mix Models (ABM). The proposed approach integrates individual-level data with aggregate market information to estimate personalized media effects while addressing the challenges of data sparsity and high dimensionality. By combining the identity layer and the optimization process in a Bayesian hierarchical model, the model captures heterogeneity across consumers and provides robust predictions of individual causality. Affect different media. The framework is used for e-commerce business data, which includes 500,000 customers across 50 markets in 24 months. The model shows better prediction performance than the integrated business model, with a 30.4% reduction in RMSE. Empirical results reveal significant heterogeneity in media effectiveness across channels and consumer segments. Email marketing emerges as the most effective channel on average, followed by TV advertising, digital display ads, and social media engagements. Sensitivity analyses and robustness checks, including alternative prior specifications and placebo tests, support the validity of the estimated causal effects. The findings provide valuable insights for media planning and marketing strategy, highlighting the importance of tailored budget allocation and campaign design approaches. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on personalized marketing analytics and offers a powerful tool for estimating individualized media effects in complex marketing environments.
