Abstract

Digital transformation in education has accelerated a paradigm shift from conventional instructional practices toward data- and technology-driven systems. This article examines the role of information management in improving learning quality through the strategic use of data for decision-making. A systematic literature review was employed, focusing on studies related to digital transformation, learning analytics, and data-driven decision-making in education. The findings indicate that the integration of information systems with analytical technologies enables a more comprehensive understanding of learners’ behavioral patterns. Systematic data utilization contributes to improved instructional effectiveness, learning personalization, and student engagement. However, implementation remains constrained by limited data literacy among educators, inadequate technological infrastructure, and ethical concerns in data governance. Within this context, information management functions as a strategic framework that integrates data collection, processing, and utilization to support evidence-based decision-making. Consequently, digital transformation should not be viewed merely as a technological shift, but also as a structural and cultural transformation within educational organizations. Optimizing information management is therefore essential to fostering adaptive and sustainable learning environments.

Abstract

Digital transformation has emerged as a strategic phenomenon driving substantial changes in organizational information management. This study aims to identify key challenges and analyze implementation strategies for digital transformation within information management practices. A qualitative approach was employed through a literature-based study, utilizing thematic analysis of relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that the primary challenges of digital transformation encompass structural, technological, and cultural dimensions, which interact dynamically and influence implementation effectiveness. On the other hand, digital transformation contributes positively to improving information quality, enhancing system efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making. However, these benefits are not automatic; they are highly contingent upon the quality of information governance and the organizational readiness to adopt digital technologies strategically. Furthermore, this study identifies several effective implementation strategies, including the integration of knowledge management, the strengthening of digital leadership, the application of change management practices, and the continuous evaluation of information systems. Based on these findings, a conceptual model is proposed, positioning information management and knowledge management as mediating variables in the relationship between digital transformation and organizational performance. This study contributes theoretically to the advancement of digital-based information management research and offers practical implications for organizations in designing more adaptive and sustainable digital transformation strategies.

Abstract

: The Pakon ritual, part of the Sasak community tradition in Lombok, holds strong social, spiritual, and cultural meaning that helps preserve local identity. Today, rapid social change, the spread of technology, and shifting priorities among younger generations have made the ritual less commonly practiced. This study explores ways to bring Pakon back into everyday life through community-based education and cultural documentation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that revitalization works best when local communities take an active role. Educational programs within the community help pass down knowledge from older to younger generations, keeping the tradition alive in a natural way. At the same time, digital documentation creates lasting records, allowing the ritual to be preserved and shared more widely. When these two approaches come together, they do more than just protect the ritual. They also strengthen the sense of cultural identity, helping the Sasak community stay connected to its roots even as the world around them continues to change.
