Abstract

In today's digital era, education requires innovation to enhance students' interest in learning, especially in mathematics, which is often perceived as challenging. This study targets the development of mobile learning-based media for MTs students in Pasuruan Regency, aiming to boost student engagement and participation in mathematics. Nine grade IX students participated as subjects in this study. Employing the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the research sought to create learning media that is valid, practical, and effective. Instruments included questionnaires to evaluate student effectiveness and interest, alongside expert validation for content and media. The findings revealed that the mobile learning media achieved rigorous standards, with positive feedback from both experts and students. Notably, 78% of students reported that the media facilitated a better understanding of mathematics topics such as algebra and geometry, which were previously difficult. Additionally, 85% of students exhibited increased interest in learning following the use of this media. The data further indicated a 25% improvement in mathematics comprehension post-implementation. These results suggest that the mobile learning media is effective in enhancing both interest and understanding of mathematics, making it a viable tool for educational settings. This study makes a valuable contribution to enriching learning methodologies that are accessible anytime, anywhere, offering students greater learning flexibility.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini didasarkan pada kesenjangan signifikan antara rendahnya Literasi Numerasi Matematika siswa (terutama dalam penalaran dan berpikir kritis) dan tingginya tuntutan kewirausahaan dalam konteks Manufaktur Sepatu Lokal, di mana perhitungan biaya bahan baku, biaya operasional, dan margin keuntungan sangat penting. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan cetak biru dan peta konsep untuk Platform Pembelajaran Adaptif (ALP), yang secara efektif mengintegrasikan tantangan industri nyata ke dalam materi matematika terapan, sejalan dengan kebutuhan hiper-personalisasi dan tren Sistem Bimbingan Cerdas dalam pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Model Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) 4D yang hanya terbatas pada Tahap Definisi. Desain penelitian melibatkan empat langkah analitis: Analisis Kebutuhan, Analisis Konsep, Analisis Karakteristik Siswa, dan Spesifikasi Produk. Teknik Pengumpulan Data meliputi Studi Dokumentasi Kurikulum, Observasi Lapangan Industri (termasuk praktik pemasaran online), wawancara mendalam dengan manajer industri, Tinjauan Pustaka Sistematis, dan Kuesioner Awal untuk diagnosis kebutuhan pembelajaran. Instrumen utama meliputi Pedoman Kegiatan, Matriks Relevansi Materi, dan Tes Numerasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif-deskriptif melalui sintesis data triangulasi dari berbagai sumber. Temuan menunjukkan kebutuhan mendesak akan ALP (Adaptive Learning Platform) dengan fitur adaptif dan mekanisme pelacakan yang menyajikan materi Persentase, Perbandingan, dan Statistik dalam skenario penetapan harga produk manufaktur, menghasilkan Cetak Biru Prototipe ALP (termasuk bagan alur adaptif dan storyboard) yang siap diimplementasikan pada tahap Desain selanjutnya.
