Abstract

Qur’anic education is one of the key pillars in shaping a generation of Muslims with Islamic character, noble morals, and a love for the Qur’an. Qur’anic instruction using the Yanbu’a method is designed to assist students in reading the Qur’an more effectively by focusing on the phonetic recognition of the Arabic alphabet and facilitating the mastery of pronunciation. Based on the results of field observations and interviews, the main problem encountered in the implementation of the Yanbu’a method at TPQ Darul Musthofa Assunniyah was the low quality of the teaching and learning process, caused by the limited competence of the teachers. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach was chosen as it aligns with the nature of the problem, emphasising the active participation of teachers and students at every stage of the activity, from problem identification, planning, implementation, to evaluation. The service team, using the PAR approach, optimised the strengthening of Yanbu’a learning for students through teaching training. Consequently, the impact of the changes was evident in the students’ development following the training, namely an improvement in teaching competence, standardisation of teaching methods, increased student motivation, and an improvement in the quality of learning.
