Abstract

The problem of waste has become a crucial issue in the life of modern society, not only because of its impact on the environment, but also because of its relationship with people's health and quality of life. The rosok waste alms management training program in Bujel Village, Kediri City, is a form of community service innovation that aims to overcome the waste problem through a religion-based participatory approach. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that this program not only increases people's understanding of sorting and managing waste in an environmentally friendly manner, but also has social and economic impacts such as increasing musholla operational funds, empowering underprivileged residents, and reducing the volume of waste by 35% to landfills. Thus, this waste alms management model is expected to be replicated in various regions as an integrative solution in sustainable community-based waste management.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Early age is a golden age for child development, where moral education is very important to be formed from the beginning. At this stage, children have a natural tendency to recognize and understand moral values, which greatly influence their character and behavior in the future. However, the challenges in moral education in the family and community environment are still problems that need to be overcome, considering the many cases of deviant behavior among children and adolescents today. This study aims to examine the concept of Islamic education in early childhood as an effort to instill morals. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a literature study, which collects and analyzes literature related to this theme. The results of the study show that moral education can be carried out through several methods, including verbal communication, habituation, and storytelling, which are effective in instilling moral values in early childhood. The instillation of morals carried out from an early age has been proven to form positive character in children, develop discipline, and strengthen children’s spiritual relationship with God. Cooperation between parents and educators is very important to create an environment conducive to the formation of good morals. The contribution of this research is to provide insight for parents and educators in implementing effective moral instillation methods in the family and educational environment.

Abstract

This study examines strategies for building resilience among Muslim youth in the digital age through the Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) approach. Using a literature review method, the study identifies that resilience is formed through the synergy of internal aspects (such as emotional regulation, husnuzhan, patience, gratitude, and tawakal) and external aspects (family support, pious peers, and positive communities). ICG interventions play a vital role in facilitating the strengthening of self-capacity (I Am), social support (I Have), and problem-solving skills (I Can) based on Islamic spiritual values. As a result, this holistic approach is effective in building adolescents' mental-spiritual resilience, preventing maladaptive behaviors, and guiding them toward psychological well-being (sa'adah fid-darain) amid the challenges of the digital world.

Abstract

Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi, known in the West as Rhazes, represents a unique synthesis of a rigorous scientist and a free-thinking philosopher in the classical Islamic tradition. Despite his monumental contributions to medicine and chemistry, his philosophical stance—characterized by pure rationalism and the "Five Eternals" theory—has often led to controversial labels, including charges of being a mulhid (atheist). This study aims to provide a comprehensive reconstruction of al-Razi’s epistemological framework, exploring the interplay between his empirical methodology and his philosophical style. This research employs a qualitative library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were gathered from primary and secondary academic sources, analyzed through inductive reasoning to identify core patterns in al-Razi’s thought. The findings reveal that al-Razi’s epistemology is grounded in three primary sources: logic, the tradition of predecessors, and instinct. His methodology, particularly evidenced in his magnum opus al-Hawi, demonstrates an early form of positivism that prioritizes clinical observation and experimental verification over blind adherence to authority. Furthermore, his intellectual style is a hybrid of Epicureanism, Aristotelianism, and Naturalism, emphasizing a balance between theocentric and anthropocentric paradigms. Al-Razi’s rationalism does not signify a denial of God but rather an exaltation of the intellect as a divine gift. This study concludes that al-Razi should be viewed as a "free thinker" whose empirical rigor and systematic logic provided a foundational blueprint for both Islamic and Western medical and philosophical advancements.
