Abstract

Objectives: To examine the effects of the work environment on female employee performance, with work stress as a mediator at PT Scandinavian Tobacco Group Indonesia. Methods: Quantitative research involving 233 female employees, analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Research Gap/Novelty: Examines work stress as a mediating mechanism linking the work environment to female employee performance in the production sector. Results: The work environment positively and significantly influenced employee performance, both directly and indirectly through work stress. Work stress positively influenced performance. Conclusion: A supportive work environment enhances employee productivity and performance.
