Abstract

Abstrak Isu lingkungan hidup menjadi tantangan global yang menuntut peran strategis pendidikan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan perilaku ramah lingkungan sejak dini. Upaya ini sejalan dengan pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serta Asta Cita dalam membangun sumber daya manusia yang berkarakter dan berwawasan lingkungan. Pendidikan lingkungan telah terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran IPAS di SD. Namun demikian, pemahaman guru mengenai konsep green pedagogy dan penerapan prinsip 5R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Rot) masih belum optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru melalui edukasi green pedagogy berbasis prinsip 5R sebagai strategi pendidikan ramah lingkungan di sekolah dasar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD 21 Pamboborang pada tanggal 29 November 2025 dengan melibatkan 15 orang guru sebagai mitra sasaran. Metode yang digunakan berupa kampanye edukasi melalui sosialisasi interaktif, diskusi, serta evaluasi menggunakan kuis berbasis digital (Wayground). Efektivitas kegiatan diukur melalui pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan nilai rata-rata dari 80,1 menjadi 88,3. Analisis statistik menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,001) dengan nilai effect size sebesar -1,00 yang mengindikasikan pengaruh yang sangat kuat. Secara kualitatif, kegiatan juga meningkatkan partisipasi, antusiasme, dan keterlibatan peserta selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Kata kunci: green pedagogy; 5R; pendidikan lingkungan; IPAS; kampanye edukasi Abstract Environmental issues have become a global challenge that requires the strategic role of education in fostering environmental awareness and pro-environmental behavior from an early age. This effort aligns with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the national development agenda (Asta Cita) in building environmentally responsible and well-characterized human resources. Environmental education has been integrated into Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in primary schools. However, teachers’ understanding of green pedagogy and the implementation of the 5R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, and Rot) remains suboptimal. This community service activity aims to enhance teachers’ understanding of green pedagogy through a 5R-based educational approach as a strategy for environmentally friendly education in primary schools. The activity was conducted at SD 21 Pamboborang on November 29, 2025, involving 15 teachers as participants. The method employed was an educational campaign through interactive socialization, discussions, and evaluation using a digital quiz platform (Wayground). The effectiveness of the activity was measured through pre-test and post-test, which were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding, as reflected by the increase in the mean score from 80.1 to 88.3. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference (p < 0.001) with an effect size of -1.00, indicating a very strong effect. Qualitatively, the activity also enhanced participants’ engagement, enthusiasm, and active participation during the learning process. Keywords: green pedagogy; 5R; environmental education; IPAS; educational campaign

Abstract

This study aimed to validate an instrument for measuring digital skills among pre-service science teachers using the Rasch model framework. A total of 349 Generation Z participants were surveyed from three year levels. Data were collected through Google Forms and analyzed using Winsteps 3.7.3. The Rasch model provided insights into item reliability, person reliability, separation indices, unidimensionality, item fit statistics, and differential item functioning (DIF). Results demonstrated strong psychometric robustness, with person reliability of 0.95, item reliability of 0.98, and Cronbach’s alpha of 0.97. Wright Map analysis indicated appropriate alignment between item difficulty and respondents’ abilities. Item fit statistics fell within the acceptable range, supporting internal validity. Unidimensionality analysis confirmed that the instrument measured a single construct, while DIF analysis showed no significant bias across gender or year of study. Overall, the instrument proved reliable, valid, and equitable in assessing digital skills among science pre-service teachers, offering a valuable tool for teacher education and digital competence assessment.
