The spin-off policy in the Islamic insurance industry represents an institutional strengthening strategy intended to enhance the independence and sustainability of Islamic insurance businesses in Indonesia. In Aceh, this policy has particular relevance because the region possesses distinctive social and institutional characteristics associated with the implementation of Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the readiness of the Islamic insurance industry and identify the challenges arising after the implementation of the spin-off policy in Aceh. The study employs a library research method by examining relevant written sources, including books, scholarly articles, regulations, institutional reports, and publications concerning the development of the Islamic insurance industry. The data are analyzed descriptively and analytically through identification, classification, comparison, and synthesis of information related to industry readiness and post-spin-off challenges. The findings indicate that readiness for transformation is influenced by institutional strength, capital adequacy, human resource capacity, governance quality, technological preparedness, adaptive capability, and market development. Meanwhile, the main challenges involve public literacy and trust, market penetration, operational efficiency, consistent Sharia compliance, and business sustainability. The study concludes that spin-off should not merely be understood as an administrative separation, but as a comprehensive transformation integrating internal corporate readiness with Aceh's socioeconomic characteristics. This study contributes a contextual perspective on Islamic insurance transformation at the regional level and offers a conceptual basis for developing more adaptive, competitive, and sustainable institutional strategies.
