Abstract

This study aims to develop negotiation text teaching materials assisted by VlogNow media for tenth-grade senior high school students. The developed teaching materials are expected to help students understand negotiation text material, especially in speaking and presenting skills. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall procedure modified according to the research needs. The product developed in this study was a negotiation text learning video assisted by VlogNow media. The subjects of this study consisted of material experts, media experts, Indonesian language teachers, and tenth-grade students of SMA Swasta Setia Budi Abadi Perbaungan. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and the distribution of student needs questionnaires as well as product feasibility validation questionnaires. The research instruments used included student needs questionnaires, material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and teacher validation sheets. The results showed that the negotiation text teaching materials assisted by VlogNow media obtained a very feasible category with assessment percentages of 98.8% from material experts, 90% from media experts, and 97.5% from subject teachers. Based on these results, an average score of 95.4% was obtained, so it can be concluded that the developed teaching materials are very feasible to be used in Indonesian language learning for tenth-grade senior high school students.
