<![CDATA[AbstractEase of access to enjoy movies turns out to be a gap to commit copyright infringement because there are many websites that publish movies without permission from the creator. This article aims to analyze the legal protection to copyright for Films published through website. This research is an empirical research conducted at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained through the interview method conducted through the application zoom meeting while secondary data obtained from literature study. The results of the study indicate that the legal protection of copyright on Film has been regulated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright. In order to support this protection, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia facilitates the Creator or Copyright Holder to report the website that has been distributed their Film without obtaining permission from Author. And cooperating with the Ministry of Communication and Infromation to block some weebsite that proven to have violated Copyright.Keywords: Copyright; Creator; Film; Legal Protection; Website.AbstrakKemudahan akses untuk menikmati Film ternyata membuat celah untuk melakukan pelanggaran terhadap Hak Cipta karena banyaknya website yang mempublikasikan Film tanpa izin dari Pencipta. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perlindungan hukum terhadap hak cipta atas Film yang dipublikasikan melalui website. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian empiris yang dilakukan di Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia dan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika. Jenis data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer didapat melalui metode wawancara yang dilakukan melalui aplikasi zoom meeting sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelrindungan hukum terhadap Hak Cipta telah diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta. Kemudian untuk mendukung perlindungan tersebut Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia memfasilitasi Pencipta untuk melakukan laporan terhadap website yang apabila karya ciptanya dipublikasikan melalui website tanpa adanya izin.
