Abstract

Career theories play a significant role in addressing career-related issues and supporting individuals in identifying their potential, making the right career decisions, and adapting to the constantly changing dynamics of the workforce. Various theories have developed instruments to measure career-related aspects, such as Super's theory with the Career Development Inventory (CDI), Holland's theory with the Self-Directed Search (SDS), and the Career Adaptability Theory developed by Savickas and Porfeli with the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS). These three theories and their measurement tools have served as the foundation and inspiration for the development of assessments, application designs, and scale adaptations in Indonesia. Using the narrative review method, this study examines six articles that discuss various measurement tools and their development or adaptation based on these theories. The review shows that Super, Holland, and Career Adaptability theories not only enhance insight into key elements of career but also produce useful, applicable assessment tools.
