Rendahnya literasi masyarakat terhadap layanan perbankan syariah masih menjadi permasalahan di wilayah pedesaan, khususnya di sentra perkebunan tebu dan ubi kayu Jorong Sungai Taleh, Nagari Baringin, Kecamatan Palembayan, Kabupaten Agam. Kondisi ini ditandai dengan keterbatasan pemahaman petani mengenai prinsip, produk, dan manfaat perbankan syariah serta kecenderungan menggunakan sumber pembiayaan informal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap layanan perbankan syariah melalui pendekatan edukasi kontekstual. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan penyuluhan. Sosialisasi berfokus pada pengenalan konsep dasar ekonomi dan perbankan syariah, sedangkan penyuluhan diarahkan pada pemahaman produk yang relevan dengan kebutuhan petani, seperti pembiayaan modal usaha dan tabungan syariah, menggunakan bahasa sederhana dan contoh kontekstual. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap konsep bagi hasil serta meningkatnya minat mengakses layanan perbankan syariah. Edukasi langsung terbukti efektif dalam membangun pemahaman dan kepercayaan masyarakat. Low community literacy regarding Islamic banking services remains a challenge in rural areas, particularly in sugarcane and cassava plantation centers in Jorong Sungai Taleh, Nagari Baringin, Palembayan District, Agam Regency. Farmers generally have limited understanding of Islamic banking principles, products, and benefits and tend to rely on informal financing sources. This community service program aimed to improve public literacy and awareness of Islamic banking services through a contextual educational approach. The program was implemented through socialization and counseling activities. Socialization introduced basic concepts of Islamic economics and banking, while counseling focused on products relevant to farmers’ needs, such as business capital financing and Islamic savings, using simple language and contextual examples. Evaluation was conducted through observations before and after the activities. The results show an improvement in community understanding of profit-sharing concepts and increased interest in accessing Islamic banking services. Direct and context-based education proved effective in changing perceptions and building trust. This program recommends expanding Islamic banking education in rural areas and strengthening cross-sector collaboration to support sustainable Islamic financial inclusion.
