Abstract

One of the determinants of educational success is teacher performance. Teachers are professional educators with essential duties, functions, and roles in achieving school goals. However, in reality, based on the results of pre-research with several principals and teachers of state elementary schools in Kempas Indragiri Hilir District, there are several phenomena where some teachers still experience problems and obstacles in carrying out their professional duties. This research aims to determine the effect of teacher professional certification on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Kempas Indragiri Hilir District, to determine the influence of teacher work motivation on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Kempas Indragiri Hilir District, and to determine the effect of teacher professional certification and teacher work motivation on their performance in elementary schools. Negeri Se Kecamatan Kempas Indragiri Hilir. This research uses an associative design with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires and documentation. Based on the research results, it is known that there is a significant and positive influence of professional certification on teacher performance in State Elementary Schools in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, which is shown by the t-test that the sig value is 0.000. If the sig value is smaller than the probability value of 0.05 or 0.000 < 0.05, then H1 is accepted, and H0 is rejected. So, it can be concluded that work motivation and teacher professional certification positively influence teacher performance in State Elementary Schools in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Abstract

The research focuses on implementing educators' assessment standards per Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2016 at State Elementary Schools in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Through this descriptive method, researchers hope to see the phenomena in connection with implementing assessment standards in State Elementary Schools in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research was carried out at the Tempuling District Public Elementary School, Indragiri Hilir Regency, which consists of three state schools. The research period is from January to August 2023. Data collection techniques used document review, observation, and interview methods. The analysis technique uses three channels, namely: (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, and (c) conclusion. Based on the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that educators have not fully mastered the concept of learning assessment.

Abstract

This research focuses on studying the implementation of education management policies regarding teacher workload at the certified junior high school (SMP) level. The research aims to determine the implementation of education management policies regarding the workload of accredited teachers in State Middle Schools and West Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency so they will know the solution. This research uses a qualitative approach to field observation. The key information in this research is the people who are directly involved and know about teacher workload problems, namely the Regional Coordinator for Education and Culture, Heads of State Middle Schools, Deputy Heads, and teachers of State Middle Schools in West Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Data collection techniques use interview techniques, documentation techniques, and observation techniques. Then, the data analysis process is carried out in four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusion.

Abstract

Educational supervision by the school principal is one of the key aspects in maintaining and improving the quality of education in an educational institution. This research aims to (a) analyze the principal's supervision planning for teachers, (b) analyze the implementation of supervision by the school principal towards teachers, (c) analyze the evaluation of supervision by the principal of teachers, and (d) analyzing the follow-up supervision by the principal of teachers at SMPN 1 Kemuning, Kemuning district, Indragiri Hilir regency. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. The research informants consisted of (a) the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir regency as a key informant or core informant; (b) an educational assistant at SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir Regency as a key informant or core informant; and (c) teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir regency as control informants. Data collection techniques consist of observation and interviews. The research instruments used were observation sheets and interview lists. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Spradley model. The validity of the data in this research was carried out by source and time triangulation. The research results can be concluded that there are four stages in implementing supervision, namely that supervision planning has not been implemented optimally because the supervision time has not been maximized and the instruments to be used have not met supervision needs. Furthermore, the implementation of supervision by the teachers' principal at SMPN 1 Kemuning, Kemuning district, Indragiri Hilir regency, has gone well.

Abstract

This research analyses leadership and organizational culture's vivacious and significant influence on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The background of this research is based on a description of the performance of state elementary school teachers in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The type of research carried out is survey research with a quantitative research approach. The population in this study was 73 elementary school teachers. The sample used in the research was 73 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection techniques are documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research results show that the influence of the principal's leadership and organizational culture on the performance of public elementary school teachers is 92.8%, and the remainder is determined by other factors that are not part of this research. The research conclusions show the influence of the principal's leadership and organizational culture on the performance of state elementary school teachers in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significant and positive influence of (a) academic supervision on teacher performance, (b) teacher work motivation on teacher performance, and (c) both academic supervision and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a correlational research technique (ex post facto). The population comprises 156 elementary school teachers, with a randomly selected sample of 113 respondents. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, and a trial was conducted with 30 respondents outside the main sample. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate that academic supervision positively and significantly influences teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 80.8%. Similarly, work motivation has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 82.7%. Furthermore, academic supervision and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a combined contribution of 88.1%. In conclusion, academic supervision and work motivation are crucial factors in enhancing teacher performance.
