Abstract

This research aimed to develop fun thinkers book learning media on the topic of “Peristiwa alam yang terjadi di Indonesia” for grade V elementary school students and to determine the feasibility of the learning media. This research was research and development involving six steps: (1) problem analysis, (2) data information collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) product revision, and (6) product testing. The subjects in this study were 10 grade V students. The data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and validity assessments from material experts, language experts, media experts, as well as a questionnaire of students’ responses. The result of this research was a fun thinkers book learning media consisting of two components: a book and a frame. The feasibility of the media was obtained from the assessments of the experts, namely media experts, material experts, language experts, and students’ responses, with average percentages of 90.8%, 97.5%, 81.82%, and 82.23%, respectively. Based on these results, it was concluded that the fun thinkers book learning media was feasible to be used as a learning media on the topic of “Peristiwa alam yang terjadi di Indonesia.”

Abstract

This study aimed to develop ruliba media based on local wisdom for learning the balance of ecosystem in the natural science subject at grade V SD a well as to determine the feasibilityof the learning media and the users’ response after using ruliba media based on local wisdom. This study used research and development as the research method, with Borg and Gall development model that have been modified by Sugiyono into 6 stages, namely: 1) problem analysis,2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision and 6) product testing (limited trial). The product of this research was ruliba learning media based on local wisdom for learning the balance of ecosystem in the natural science subject at grade V SD. The feasibility level of ruliba media was determined based on the assessment results from the experts consisting of material experts, media experts, ethnopedagogic experts, as well as teachers’ and students’ response. The average percentage of each assessment result was respectively 97.5%, 92.5%, 81%, 100%, and 95.6% which achieved the category of “very feasible” and “very good”. Based on this result, it could be concluded that local wisdom- based ruliba learning media was suitable to be used as a learning media for ecosystem balance lesson.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop scientific-based Wopipopu Book media as a means of visual learning style for students at grade IV elementary school and to determine the feasibility of the Wopipopu Book media. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Kebon Jahe, Kecamatan Serang, Serang, involving 23 grade IV students in a limited trial. This research and development used a model modified by Sugiyono. This model consists of six stages, namely problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trial. The instruments of this research were questionnaires for media validation by lecturers and questionnaires for students. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the quality of Wopipopu Book learning media was categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 92.8% from two material experts, feasible with a percentage of 75.8% from two linguists, and 91.5% from two media experts. Furthermore, the percentage of students’ responses to the Wopipopu Book in the trial was 84.64% in the excellent category.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal how to develop the water cycle stage media for science learning at grade V, to analyze the feasibility of the water cycle stage media developed for science learning at grade V, and to reveal the students’ response to the water cycle stage learning media. This study was conducted at SDN Teras 1. The subjects of this study were 20 grade V students at SDN Teras 1, in which 15 students were involved in a limited trial. This study was conducted based on the Borg and Gall model modified by Sugiyono. This model included six stages: namely problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing. The instruments in this study were questionnaire sheets addressed to the lecturer and students. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the quality of the water cycle stage media was presented in three categories. First, the feasibility of the water cycle media from the media experts was categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 91.3%. Then, according to the material experts, this media was also categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 93%. Finally, the feasibility result from the education experts was categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 93%. In addition, after conducting the trial on 15 students, the result of the students’ response to the water cycle stage media was 89%, which was also in the very feasible category.
