Abstract

The economic centre is a very important thing that is located in an area, as a result the area affected as an economic centre experiences congestion which results in time, energy and health being disrupted. As happened in the implementation of the one-way system at the simpang empat Pasar Mambo, which is one of the accesses to the economic centre in Majalengka. Congestion at the Simpang Empat Pasar Mambo is the most common traffic problem, particularly in the middle of the day because of the higher volume of traffic compared to other times. This study set out to assess the effectiveness of traffic engineering on one-way system the intersection Mambo Simpang Empat Pasar, which can cause congestion and accidents caused by shopping activities, and to find more careful traffic engineering solutions. This research uses a qualitative approach.

Abstract

Leuwiseeng village road is one of the connecting roads between villages and is the route passed when heading to the district highway. Roads are the most common transportation infrastructure people use for their daily activities. The condition of this road has several damages, including cracks and holes, as a result of which community activities are disrupted. Therefore, researchers are interested in writing a journal entitled Evaluation of Road Damage on Flexural Pavement Using the Bina Marga Method (Case Study: Leuwiseeng Village Road, Majalengka). This evaluation is used to identify the type and level of damage and provide appropriate repair and maintenance recommendations. Road damage can be caused by various factors, including the quality of materials used, inadequate construction design, and vehicle loads that exceed road capacity. Counting traffic volume: The manual method involves recording the number of vehicles passing through at specific intervals, such as 15 minutes or 1 hour. Routine maintenance involves cleaning the road, checking it, and making minor repairs to the road surface to prevent further damage. Leuwiseeng Village Road is located in Majalengka Regency; the road length studied is 1.2 km. This road is a village road with a road width of 5 meters and a two-way, one-lane road. The data collected are road geometric data, average daily traffic (LHR) data, and road damage types and levels. After the data is processed, the road repair and maintenance are analyzed. The LHR of the Leuwiseeng village road, with a length of 1.2 km, is class 3. The types of damage on this road are alligator cracks, patches, holes, grooves, and wear. Where alligator cracking has the highest percentage of other types of damage, with a value of (14%). The Order of Priority (UP) is 8 with a category> 7, so the handling is carried out with a routine maintenance program every year.

Abstract

Cirebon Regency is a Level II area that has experienced quite rapid traffic growth. Jalan Pangeran Antasari is one of the main roads in Cirebon Regency as a link between districts and is also a road with a fairly dense industrial area. An analysis of the intersection's performance is essential to maintain the level of road service. This paper aims to analyze traffic performance at intersections without signals. The research method was surveying Jalan Pangeran Antasari-Sumber and Jalan Mertabasah, Cirebon Regency, in November 2024—data analysis using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2023. The research results on the performance of road sections and intersections indicate the value of vehicle volume obtained. The volume of traffic flow during peak hours on Jalan Pangeran Antasari is 1979 veh/hour or 1534,8 pcu/hour on Monday afternoon. The traffic volume at the unsignalized intersection of Jalan Pangeran Antasari-Sumber – Jalan Mertabasah during peak hours is 2763 veh/hour atau 1647,2 pcu/hour on Monday afternoon. The conclusion is that the capacity level of Jalan Pangeran Antasari was obtained at C = 3640 pcu/hour, Dj = 0,43, and then (LOS) with level B means good. The capacity value of the unsignalized intersection of Jalan Pangeran Antasari-Sumber – Jalan Mertabasah was obtained C= 1647,5 pcu/hour, q= 1643,2 pcu/hour, Degree of Saturation = 0,99 dan Delays at Intersections T= 17,99 sec/drive as well as queue opportunities 39,3% - 77,8%. Thus, the intersection service level obtains Level Of Service E, which means Bad.

Abstract

An unsignalized intersection is defined as a meeting of two or more roads not equipped with red lights or traffic signs to control traffic. Traffic problems in Majalengka Regency must be fixed or resolved in an orderly manner. The survey method was used. The research was carried out for two days in one week, and the calculations used MKJI and PKJI. Based on the results of calculations and research conducted at the unsignalized intersection at the Parapatan Munjul Roundabout connecting the road from the East and West of Jalan KH. Abdul Halim from the South of Jalan Pemuda and the North of Jalan Siti Armilah, it was concluded that the total traffic volume during peak hours, namely on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 07.00 - 08.00 with a value of 1562.35 / hour, therefore indicating a poor level of service. The results of the LOS service level have poor information from the East and West, and South and North have good information. Of the population in Majlengka Regency of less than 1.36 million, it will increase over time and traffic volume will increase.
