Abstract

This community service program was carried out in RT 01 RW 16, Gunung Pasang, as an effort to support residents living in areas vulnerable to landslides. Prior to the program, the community demonstrated limited understanding of landslide prevention and appropriate response strategies. Therefore, the program aimed to enhance residents’ knowledge, awareness, and preparedness through educational outreach, community mentoring, and direct actions in the form of tree planting in landslide-risk locations. The main targets of this program were the residents of RT 01 RW 16, particularly those who participated in socialization sessions, community discussions, and environmental greening activities. The implementation methods began with an initial observation to assess regional conditions and identify landslide-prone areas. This was followed by socialization and discussion sessions designed to provide information on the causes, early warning signs, and mitigation measures related to landslides. Subsequently, the team assisted residents in planting tree seedlings intended to strengthen soil structure and reduce the risk of slope failure. The program concluded with monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure proper implementation and sustainability. The results indicated an increase in community knowledge, active resident participation in environmental greening, and positive behavioral changes, such as maintaining environmental cleanliness and avoiding indiscriminate tree cutting. Overall, the program had a positive impact by improving community preparedness for potential landslides and fostering greater environmental awareness and responsibility.

Abstract

Digital transformation encourages local governments to provide public services that are more effective, efficient, and easily accessible to the community. One of the digital service innovations developed by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Jember Regency is the J-Lahbako application as an electronic-based population administration service. This study aims to analyze the innovation of population administration e-service through the J-Lahbako application in supporting digital public services in Jenggawah District, Jember Regency. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGD). The research informants consisted of the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Jember Regency, district government, village government, J-Lahbako operators, and the community. The results showed that the J-Lahbako application provides convenience in online population administration services, accelerates service processes, increases time efficiency, and expands service access to the village level. This digital service innovation also supports the creation of more responsive and modern public services. However, the implementation of the J-Lahbako application still faces several obstacles, such as network system disruptions and the limited ability of operators to understand system updates. Therefore, it is necessary to improve human resource capacity, strengthen information technology systems, and conduct continuous socialization so that digital-based population administration services can operate more optimally.

Abstract

The digital transformation of village public services requires the readiness of all community groups, including rural women who play a strategic role in village administration and public services. However, limited digital literacy has hindered women’s groups from independently accessing digital public services. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of women’s groups in accessing digital public services to support administrative independence in Suci Village, Panti Sub-district. The implementation methods include socialization, digital literacy training, assistance in using village digital public services, and activity evaluation. The target participants are women’s groups actively involved in community and village administrative activities. The results indicate improved understanding and skills among women’s groups in accessing digital public services, as well as increased women’s participation in village administrative processes. This community service contributes to strengthening village administrative independence and promoting more inclusive digital public services.
