<![CDATA[This study was conducted in Taludaa Village with the objective of analyzing geological conditions, including geomorphology, lithology, and geological structures, as well as assessing the geodiversity potential of the waterfall geosites using Brilha’s (2015) classification. The methodology involved surface geological surveys, laboratory analysis, and studio processing. Results show that the geomorphology of the study area comprises two units: structural hills and an alluvial plain. The stratigraphy consists of andesite, granodiorite, and alluvial deposits. Geological structures identified include tension joints caused by compression stress and an oblique fault trending southeast–northwest. At Station ID43, a normal right-slip fault with a dip angle of less than 45° was observed. The geological history indicates tectonic activity from the Early to Middle Miocene, forming andesitic volcanic rocks of the Bilungala Formation, followed by Middle to Late Miocene granodiorite intrusion, and Holocene alluvial deposition continuing to the present. The geodiversity inventory identified two waterfall sites (Geosite 1 and Geosite 2). Both geosites demonstrate high scientific and educational value, moderate tourism value with a total score of 245, and very low vulnerability with a total score of 100. These findings highlight the significant scientific and educational potential of the Taludaa waterfalls, supporting their role in geoconservation and sustainable geotourism development in Gorontalo.]]>
