Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's strategic planning in improving the quality of learning in the digital era, with a focus on the formulation of the vision and mission, mapping real conditions, improving educator competency, and student readiness at MI Al-Istianah Sidoarjo. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results show that the madrasah is restructuring its conventional vision and mission towards a technology-based orientation using an intergenerational participatory approach. The quality improvement strategy is implemented measurably through the division of clear timeline targets in the Madrasah Work Plan, a digital student mentoring program designed in stages according to grade level, and clinical quality control through regular academic supervision. Furthermore, challenges such as financial limitations and technological anxiety of senior teachers were successfully reduced through a humanistic, family-oriented approach and diversification of non-governmental partnership budgets. The novelty of this study lies in the flexible leadership integration model of the madrasah principal (agile leadership), which combines personal assistance with the differentiation of religious values (faith-based digital learning) at the Islamic elementary school level. This tactical step has proven effective in protecting students from cyber moral decadence while winning competition from public schools.
