Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy for accelerating teacher competency through professionalism policies at Madrasah Aliyah Mukhtar Syafaat Blokagung. The background of the study is based on the need for madrasas to improve the quality and competitiveness of teachers amidst the demands of modern educational professionalism, without losing the Islamic boarding school identity that is the institution's main character. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the madrasah principal, the vice principal for curriculum, and teachers. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using source triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that the strategy for accelerating teacher competency is implemented through three main policies: the integration of Islamic boarding school values into teacher competency standards, the provision of incentives and rewards through certification programs, and the optimization of integrated digital literacy workshops. The integration of the values of service, sincerity, and etiquette has been proven to strengthen character-based professionalism. However, the implementation of the certification policy still faces administrative obstacles that reduce teachers' focus on learning innovation.
