Abstract

The high prevalence and risk of complications that can occur in DM sufferers has led the government and BPJS Kesehatan to formulate a Chronic Disease Service Program (PROLANIS) for type 2 DM sufferers to control glycemic status and risk factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the implementation of PROLANIS and blood sugar levels, HbA1c and cholesterol in patients with type 2 diabetes. This study uses quantitative research with a descriptive correlational design with a cross sectional study approach. A research sample of 30 patients with type 2 diabetes who participated in PROLANIS at the Mangasa Health Center, Makassar City with a puposive sampling technique. The results of the study found that the average implementation value of PROLANIS was 15.05 (±SD 5.62), GDP was 191.80 mg/dl (±SD 85.15), and the total cholesterol level was 192.87 mg/dl (±SD 45.07). Through the spearman's rho test, data was obtained that there was a significant relationship between the implementation of PROLANIS with GDP (p= 0.001) and total cholesterol (p=0.029). The maximum implementation of PROLANIS is very effective in controlling blood sugar levels and total cholesterol levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. So that PROLANIS which is currently programmed by the government in every health center and primary level service facilities should be improved and implemented.
