Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is that passing drills at the PS Selong soccer club remain monotonous, and the players’ passing accuracy is relatively low, with an average pretest score of only 7.2 out of a maximum of 15. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of 3-cone wall passing and wallpass drills on the passing accuracy of PS Selong players in 2026. The research method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest two-group design. The research sample consisted of 22 PS Selong players divided into two groups: the 3-cone wall passing training group (n=11) and the wallpass training group (n=11). The instrument used was a modified version of the Vernon A. Crew passing-stopping test with a validity coefficient of 0.7981 and a reliability coefficient of 0.8024. The training sessions were conducted over 6 weeks at a frequency of 3 times per week. Data analysis utilized Paired T-Tests and Independent T-Tests with the assistance of SPSS 16. The results showed that both training methods had a significant effect on improving passing accuracy (p=0.000). The 3-Cone Wall Passing group experienced an average increase of 1.7273 (23.75%), while the Wallpass group experienced an increase of 1.9091 (25.93%). However, the results of the Independent T-Test showed no significant difference between the two groups (p=0.692). The conclusion of this study is that both the 3-cone wall passing and wallpass drills are equally effective in improving the passing accuracy of PS Selong players.
