The development of digital technology has created opportunities for cyberbullying to emerge among adolescents, particularly junior high school students. However, the reporting rate of cyberbullying cases remains low, and one factor presumed to be associated with students’ courage to report is self-esteem. Unlike previous studies that have mostly examined cyberbullying from the perspective of victims or perpetrators, this study focuses on students’ courage to report cyberbullying as an adaptive response. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and the courage to report cyberbullying in junior high school. A quantitative correlational approach was employed with a sample of 167 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using two questionnaire instruments measuring self-esteem and the courage to report cyberbullying, and were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results showed that self-esteem had a positive, significant, and strong relationship with the courage to report cyberbullying. Thus, the higher the students’ self-esteem, the greater their courage to report cyberbullying. These findings indicate that strengthening self-esteem through guidance and counseling services is important because it is significantly associated with students’ courage to report cyberbullying cases. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membuka celah munculnya cyberbullying di kalangan remaja, khususnya pada siswa SMP. Namun, tingkat pelaporan kasus cyberbullying masih rendah, dan salah satu faktor yang diduga berhubungan dengan keberanian melapor adalah self-esteem. Berbeda dari penelitian sebelumnya yang lebih banyak menyoroti cyberbullying dari sisi korban atau pelaku, penelitian ini berfokus pada keberanian siswa untuk melaporkan cyberbullying sebagai bentuk respons adaptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara self-esteem dengan keberanian melapor cyberbullying di SMP. Pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional digunakan dengan sampel sebanyak 167 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui dua instrumen angket self-esteem dan keberanian melapor cyberbullying, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem memiliki hubungan positif, signifikan, dan kuat dengan keberanian melapor cyberbullying. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi self-esteem siswa, semakin tinggi pula keberanian mereka untuk melaporkan cyberbullying. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan self-esteem melalui layanan bimbingan dan konseling penting dilakukan karena berhubungan secara signifikan dengan keberanian siswa dalam melaporkan kasus cyberbullying.
