Abstract

This study was conducted at Sako Beach, Bungus Teluk Kabung District, Padang City, West Sumatra, to analyze the physical parameters of the water and examine changes in the shoreline occurring in the area. Data collection was conducted in November 2024 at five observation stations located using GPS. The measured parameters included water temperature, salinity, current velocity, and beach slope. The results showed that water temperatures ranged from 34 to 35°C, which is relatively high for tropical coastal waters. Salinity values ranged from 15 to 22 ppt, indicating brackish water characteristics and the influence of freshwater runoff from the land. Current velocity ranged from 0.1 to 0.25 m/s, falling into the category of weak to moderate currents, while the beach slope ranged from 0.744° to 2.919°, indicating a gently sloping beach. These physical conditions are interrelated and play a role in coastal dynamics, particularly in sediment distribution. Analysis of shoreline changes indicates that Sako Beach is undergoing accretion, or land gain, driven by sedimentation. The gentle slope influences this process, as does relatively low wave energy and the potential contribution of terrestrial runoff. The results of this study show that the dynamics of physical water parameters play a significant role in shaping changes in coastal morphology; therefore, periodic monitoring is necessary to support sustainable coastal zone management

Abstract

An application is a subclass of computer software that utilizes the computer’s capabilities directly to perform a task desired by the user. The purpose of this study was to investigate bathymetric mapping techniques using Planet Scope satellite imagery and methods for processing data collected in the field. The research was conducted from January to February 2019 at the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the Oceanography Research Center, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (P2O-LIPI), East Ancol, North Jakarta. The methods used during this internship included active participation and literature review. To this context, the author processed satellite image data and analyzed the data using a laptop equipped with ArcGIS 10.5, Microsoft Excel, and ENVI 5.3. The results from data processed manually to determine absolute depth exhibited a higher level of accuracy ompared to data processed automatically

Abstract

Cilacap Regency is one of the regencies that serves as a disaster supermarket/laboratory. This means that Cilacap is at risk of disasters, including earthquakes, floods, landslides, and tsunamis. The objective is to assess community preparedness, specifically in the villages of Banjarsari and Nusawungu, and to prepare for earthquakes and tsunamis involving all components of society, both the government and the community itself, to achieve zero victims. This research was conducted from August to December 2023. Observations were made at the Banjarnegara Geophysical Station on Jalan Raya Banjarmangu Km. 12, Kalilunjar Village, Banjarmangu District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java. The method used in model the earthquake source mechanism was the P-wave first-impulse. The input to this system was waveform data from the InaTEWS network, which was entered via the internet using the Seedlink Protocol and then processed to enable automatic picking. The results were then used as input to determine the earthquake parameters and source mechanism in just a few seconds. Lightning observations are conducted using real-time recordings of atmospheric electrical events by the Lightning/2000 software, which are recorded in the format of atmospheric electrical event reports for one day, calculated from 00:00 to 24:00 local time. This is used to archive lightning event data for further processing in lightning mapping. The Tsunami Ready Community is a program to enhance community capacity in facing tsunami threats based on 12 indicators established by UNESCO-IOC. The hope is that the community will always be prepared and not be caught off guard in facing earthquake and tsunami threats

Abstract

Human resources play a crucial role in realizing the company's established vision, mission, and objectives, and can significantly determine the company's actual achievements, given the available resources. Work discipline plays a crucial role in realizing the company's established vision, mission, and objectives, and can significantly determine the company's actual achievements given the available resources. The work discipline instilled by an organization or company in its employees greatly influences employees' dedication to their work. Employee performance is the tangible behavior of each individual regarding the results of their work for the company, so that each employee's work results differ from those of others. An individual's performance, whether good or poor, will significantly impact an organization's ability to achieve its goals. High performance fosters greater employee loyalty to the organization, increases motivation, and allows employees to enjoy the work they perform; however, it can sometimes leave individuals unable to escape the pressures of their work.  The research method employed uses questionnaires or interviews for data collection; thus, the data sources are referred to as respondents. Work discipline has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) office in Pekanbaru City, as evidenced by the t-test, which indicates that the calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value (7.038).

Abstract

The courier industry in Indonesia has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce and increased online shopping activity. This study is based on the fact that many customer complaints regarding J&T services, such as late deliveries, damaged goods, and difficulties communicating with couriers, remain, despite J&T being one of the courier service companies with the highest market share in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effects of service recovery on distributive, procedural, and interactional justice. The study was conducted from August to September 2025. The method used was quantitative, with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 100 residents of Pekanbaru City who had used J&T services and experienced delivery-related complaints. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression in SPSS. The results show that, both partially and simultaneously, distributive, procedural, and interactional service recovery have a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. This implies that the better the company handles complaints using an appropriate justice approach, the higher the customer satisfaction
