Abstract

Religious education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping children's character amidst the challenges of the digital era. Students participating in the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata - KKN) hold a strategic role as facilitators of religious value transformation within the community. This article aims to analyze the contribution of KKN students in strengthening children's religious education in Nagari Paninggahan through the integration of the Isra' Mi'raj commemoration and the torch parade tradition (pawai obor). The research methodology employs a descriptive qualitative approach with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) model. The findings indicate that the active involvement of the community in religious lectures and the torch parade successfully enhanced children's spiritual understanding, strengthened social solidarity, and preserved local cultural heritage as an effective medium for Islamic proselytization (dakwah).

Abstract

Health is a crucial aspect that requires special attention after a natural disaster. The Galodo disaster that struck Paninggahan Village, Solok City, not only caused environmental and infrastructure damage, but also had the potential to cause various health problems for the affected community. Through the Community Service Program (KKN), students collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to conduct free health checks and provide medicines to the Galodo-affected community. This activity aimed to detect community health conditions early, provide basic health services, and raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining health after a disaster. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the community due to the easy access to fast and free health services. This program is expected to improve public health while strengthening the synergy between students, health workers, and the community in post-disaster recovery efforts.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in school environments with broad impacts on students' mental health and social development. This community service activity was conducted by KKN students from Universitas Negeri Padang at SMPN 1 Junjung Sirih on January 22, 2026, using a participatory educative approach through structured material presentation and interactive discussion. Materials covered the definition, types, impacts, and prevention strategies of bullying. The activity received an enthusiastic response, with students actively engaging in the question-and-answer session. It is recommended that the school integrate bullying education into its regular character development program through collaboration among teachers, parents, and students.
