Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) as a pedagogical innovation to nurture greenpreneurship attitudes among kindergarten students, aligning with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) principles. Methodology: This study employed a quantitative observational approach, involving 39 students at Kuncup Melati Kindergarten, Blitar. Data were gathered through structured observation instruments measuring children’s greenpreneurship attitudes across four dimensions: environmental awareness, eco-friendly creativity, responsibility, and initiative. Analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression to assess the impact of PjBL implementation on the development of these attitudes. Findings: The results demonstrate a significant positive improvement in children’s greenpreneurship attitudes following the PjBL intervention, with a regression coefficient of 0.404. Environmental awareness and responsibility emerged as the most developed dimensions, while creativity and initiative showed meaningful progress. Statistical analysis confirmed that PjBL significantly influences the development of a sustainable entrepreneurial mindset (p < 0.05). Implications: The findings underscore that PjBL serves as an effective operational framework for integrating ESD into early childhood education, transforming abstract sustainability concepts into concrete, actionable learning experiences. Recommendations: Educators and policymakers should prioritize project-based, sustainability-focused curricula to foster innovative and environmentally conscious future generations. Originality/Value: By expanding the scope of greenpreneurship to the early childhood level, this research provides empirical evidence that sustainability-oriented pedagogical innovations can effectively cultivate proactive character traits and environmental responsibility from an early age.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the elements that cause Generation Z to be uninterested in pursuing local culture as cultural heritage and the role of stakeholders for Generation Z in the preservation and continuity of local culture in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. Primary data collection techniques include interviews, observations, documents, and focus group discussions. The informant selection technique was carried out through purposive sampling. Data validity uses source triangulation and data analysis techniques through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results show that the reason Generation Z is not interested in studying local culture is because the manufacturing process is long and complicated, lazy and tedious work, and not economical. Stakeholders who play a role in increasing Generation Z's desire for local cultural sustainability consist of a) family, b) government, and c) community leaders. The role of stakeholders in sustaining local culture for Generation Z is mentoring and training SMEs to create and preserve local crafts, increasing competence, assistance with production materials, copyright protection for local craft products, and collaboration between agencies and institutions to support the younger generation in having enthusiasm. to want to learn and be skilled, publish literature related to guidelines or guides on how to preserve local crafts in hardcopy and e-book.

Abstract

Background: In the era of globalized markets, foreign franchise networks must strategically align their operational models with domestic market dynamics to secure sustainable growth and consumer retention. Objective: This study aims to analyze the strategic adaptation, market feasibility, and consumer behavior alignment of foreign franchise businesses expanding into the Indonesian market. Method: Adopting a systematic qualitative synthesis under a strategic management framework, this research evaluates ten distinct foreign franchise case studies over the 2020–2025 period, focusing on their structural approaches, business strategy execution, and regulatory compliance. Results: The synthesis reveals two dominant operational paradigms: corporate-normative compliance and descriptive-qualitative adaptation. Successful foreign brands achieve a sustainable competitive advantage primarily by reframing their marketing frameworks to fit local consumer preferences and cultural dynamics, alongside establishing resilient contractual risk management. Furthermore, the franchise model proves to be a highly effective vehicle for entrepreneurial expansion when backed by strategic agility. Conclusion: To prevent market switching and optimize local market shares, foreign franchisors must prioritize contemporary brand integration and robust strategic feasibility studies. Future research should leverage advanced empirical metrics to measure the quantitative macroeconomic impacts of these franchise ecosystems on the Indonesian entrepreneurial landscape.
