Abstract

When the warmeking is subimtted to a notary for registration, the parties concerned must sign it first, even thought the warmeking is made privately. many people misunderstand the process of warmeking to a notary. one of them is teh legal strength of the private deed which is certified by the notary. this study focuses on the legal strength of private deeds certified by a notary. primary dan secondary legal texts are used in this normative legal research. this study found that legal force will apply perfectly when two parties acknowledge the signature and contents of the deed. on the other hand, private letters given to third parties have the power of independent evidence.
