<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the phenomenon of a decline in the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) in some students due to less productive use of devices and inappropriate learning strategies. The focus of this research problem is directed at analyzing the influence of smartphone use and learning style characteristics on the academic achievement of students in the Department of Economics Education, Class of 2023, at Gorontalo State University. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the important stage of this research was carried out by collecting real data in the field by distributing closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaires to 38 respondents selected using a simple random sampling technique. The collected primary data were then processed using inferential multiple linear regression statistics using the IBM SPSS program version 21.0. The research findings indicate that the level of smartphone use among students is in the fairly high category, while the learning style modality is classified as good. The results of simultaneous hypothesis testing prove that there is a positive and significant influence between smartphone use and learning style on academic achievement with a calculated F value of 56.415. The quantitative determination coefficient value of 76.3 percent confirms the strong contribution of the two independent variables in explaining variations in the subjects' academic achievement. The main conclusion proves that the integration of smartphone technology that is targeted and adaptive to the tendency of independent learning styles is effective in boosting students' academic success. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena penurunan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif pada sebagian mahasiswa akibat penggunaan gawai yang kurang produktif serta ketidaksesuaian pemilihan strategi belajar. Fokus masalah dalam riset ini diarahkan pada analisis pengaruh penggunaan smartphone dan karakteristik gaya belajar terhadap capaian prestasi akademik mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi Angkatan 2023 di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, tahapan penting penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan mengumpulkan data riil di lapangan melalui penyebaran kuesioner skala Likert tertutup kepada 38 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data primer yang terkumpul selanjutnya diolah secara statistik inferensial regresi linear berganda menggunakan bantuan program IBM SPSS versi 21.0. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan smartphone mahasiswa berada pada kategori cukup tinggi, sementara modalitas gaya belajar diklasifikasikan berkategori baik. Hasil pengujian hipotesis secara simultan membuktikan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara penggunaan smartphone dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi akademik dengan raihan nilai F hitung sebesar 56,415. Nilai koefisien determinasi kuantitatif sebesar 76,3 persen menegaskan kontribusi kuat kedua variabel bebas tersebut dalam menjelaskan variasi prestasi akademik subjek. Simpulan utama membuktikan bahwa integrasi teknologi smartphone yang terarah dan adaptif terhadap kecenderungan gaya belajar mandiri efektif mendongkrak keberhasilan akademis mahasiswa. ]]>
