ABSTRAK Dalam lima tahun terakhir, Kota Bitung mengalami perubahan peningkatan serta penurunan jumlah penduduk. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan ini, penting untuk memastikan bahwa fasilitas pendidikan di daerah tersebut mampu memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat, baik dari segi jumlah, kapasitas, maupun aksesibilitasnya agar mudah dijangkau dari tempat tinggal penduduk. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis spasial dengan tujuan untuk menghitung kebutuhan fasilitas Pendidikan menengah yang ada hingga tahun 2044 dan mengetahui bagaimana pola sebaran fasilitas pendidikan serta jangkauan pelayanan fasilitas pendidikan menengah di Kota Bitung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahun 2044 memiliki proyeksi penduduk sebanyak 165.696 jiwa dengan jumlah kebutuhan fasilitas SMP paling sedikit 5 fasilitas dan kebutuhan fasilitas SMA/SMK paling sedikit 15 fasilitas. Pola sebaran spasial fasilitas pendidikan tingkat SMP dan SMA/SMK Kota Bitung memiliki pola yang sama yaitu cenderung acak. Untuk SMP yaitu (T=1,18) sedangkan untuk SMA/SMK yaitu (T=0,81). Berdasarkan SNI untuk radius jangkauan pelayanan fasilitas pendidikan Tingkat SMP terhadap permukiman yang terlayani di Kota Bitung yaitu sebesar 81% dan untuk fasilitas SMA/SMK yaitu sebesar 90%. Serta berdasarkan jumlah penduduk yang terlayani untuk fasilitas SMP yaitu 176.514 jiwa dan untuk fasilitas SMA/SMK yaitu 194.606 jiwa. Sedangkan berdasarkan standar neighborhood unit, untuk daerah jangkauan SMP yang terlayani adalah sebesar 86% dan untuk fasilitas SMA/SMK sebesar 77%, dengan jumlah penduduk yang terlayani untuk fasilitas SMP yaitu 187.983 jiwa dan untuk fasilitas SMA/SMK yaitu 167.446 jiwa. Along with this growth, it is important to ensure that educational facilities in the area are able to meet the needs of the community, both in terms of quantity, capacity, and accessibility so that they are easily accessible from where residents live. This study uses quantitative descriptive analysis and spatial analysis with the aim of calculating the need for existing secondary education facilities until 2044 and finding out the distribution pattern of educational facilities and the reach of secondary education facilities in Bitung City. The results of the study show that in 2044 the population projection is 165,696 people with the number of junior high school facility needs of at least 5 facilities and the need for senior high school/vocational high school facilities of at least 15 facilities. The spatial distribution pattern of junior high school and senior high school/vocational high school educational facilities in Bitung City has the same pattern, which tends to be random. For junior high schools, it is (T=1.18) while for senior high schools/vocational high schools it is (T=0.81). Based on the SNI for the radius of service coverage of junior high school level educational facilities to the settlements served in Bitung City, it is 81% and for senior high school/vocational high school facilities it is 90%.
