Abstract

The use of media that still only uses learning media such as whiteboards and printed books will certainly hinder the learning process, so new innovations are needed in the teaching and learning process that are interesting and fun so that students become more interested in learning using Canva-AI-based audiovisual learning media. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying Canva-AI-based audiovisual learning media in grade VIII F Nuba Arat State Junior High School. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, action, observation and reflection, with data collection through observation, evaluation tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an increase in teacher activity, student activity, and learning outcomes after the implementation of Canva-AI-based audiovisual learning media. In the first cycle, the average learning outcome reached 63.33% with a classical completeness of 60%, while in the second cycle it increased to 69.33% with a classical completeness of 76.67%. This increase of 16.67% proves that the use of Canva-AI-based audiovisual media in class VIII F Nuba Arat State Junior High School is able to create more interactive, interesting, and effective learning, so that students are more active, focused, and understand the material better. This research contributes to the science education literature by showing that technology-based and participatory learning strategies can answer the challenges of social studies learning in secondary schools.
