Abstract

Kedurus Village, located in the Karangpilang District of Surabaya City, boasts a diverse community and significant economic potential. One of the challenges encountered is the community's and worshippers' absence of interest in entrepreneurship in the vicinity of the Gunung Sari Indah Mosque. Training and mentoring for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on mosques are viable strategies for enhancing the economy of the community in Kedurus Village. An effective solution to support the economic development of the community is anticipated to be the collaboration between the local administration and the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) of Surabaya City. The development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) is essential for the establishment of sustainable economic growth at the local level. MSMEs are instrumental in the development of employment opportunities, the expansion of the economy, and the enhancement of community welfare. MSMEs can enhance the quality of their products, digital marketing, digital financial management, and other aspects that facilitate business growth through appropriate training and mentoring. Mosques, which serve as hubs for religious and social activities, possess significant potential to serve as hubs for the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The function of mosques as agents of economic development at the local level will be enhanced through collaboration with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) of Surabaya City. The government, religious institutions, and community are expected to establish a positive synergy through the participation of mosques in community service activities.

Abstract

This research aims to minimize the agency problem in mudharabah contract through tawhid principle. This research works with qualitative approach which applies the method of library research by implementing the literature review. Agency theory focuses on two aspects, the principal and the agent where the principal as the owner (shahibul maal) and the agent as the manager (mudharib). Agency problem takes place after the work, there are three conflicts during the agency problem; purpose conflict, behavior conflict, and asymmetric information conflict. Mudharabah is the corporation system which has declared position in Islam. Mudharabah is basically a contract of profit and loss sharing in which one side trusts some capitals to an investor. As the result, he will get what has been determined from the profit/loss of the business invested. This kind of contract requires transparency of the businessman. If one of the main sides especially mudharib does not report everything transparently, there will be activities called adverse selection and moral hazard. The mudharabah contract is a finance contract full of asymmetric information. The effort of minimizing the agency problem is inserting the Tawhid principle where Allah is the truest witness of all contracts. Based on the Tawhid principle and ethics considering the purpose or maqashid al-syariah; Keeping religion (Faith), keeping the wealth, keeping mind, keeping souls and children. The tawhid values must be implemented in our daily muamalah such as honesty, ransparency, trusty, and well-believed in economic activity.

Abstract

The low number of halal certifications in Indonesia, reaching only 6,4 million out of 30 million culinary MSMEs, raises consumer doubts and decreases purchase intentions. This issue is compounded by the low level of halal awareness among the public, particularly the youth who lack understanding of the halal concept, as well as ineffective social media promotions that merely copy trends without clear objectives, leading to a decline in buying interest. This study aims to analyze the influence of halal certification, halal awareness, and promotion on the purchase intention of Se'Indonesia products among Muslim consumers in Surabaya. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing primary data obtained from an online questionnaire distributed to 120 respondents selected via purposive sampling, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that halal certification, halal awareness, and promotion have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, both partially and simultaneously, with a combined contribution of 81.6%. This research can serve as a reference for policies or decisions and provide insights for related parties.
