Abstract

Berkurangnya ketersediaan sumber air bersih disebabkan oleh pencemaran di sungai – sungai sebagai salah satu sumber air bersih di permukaan. Secara administrasi DAS Bango meliputi tiga wilayah, yaitu Kota Malang, Kabupaten Malang, dan Kota Batu. Keberadaan Sungai Bango sangat penting bagi masyarakat sekitar sungai, seperti digunakan untuk keperluan mandi, masak, irigasi, dan lain – lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui kondisi kualitas air dan menentukan status mutu air di Sungai Bango. Metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat pencemaran yaitu menggunakan metode STORET. Data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer didapatkan dari hasil wawancara dengan pihak Instansi Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan data sekunder didapatkan dari hasil pengukuran kualitas air Sungai Bango pada tahun 2020 sampai dengan tahun 2022 dari Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Malang. Pengukuran kualitas air dilakukan pada 3 titik stasiun dengan waktu pengambilan sampel yaitu pada bulan April – Juni untuk setiap tahunnya. Parameter kualitas air yang digunakan berupa parameter fisika yaitu suhu berkisar antara 23,7 – 29,9°C, Total Suspended Solid (TSS) berkisar antara 3,8 – 98,3 mg/L, parameter kimia yang digunakan yaitu pH berkisar antara 6,46 – 8,4, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) berkisar antara 4 – 7 mg/L, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) berkisar antara <1,83 – 5,44 mg/L, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) berkisar antara <3,492 – 51,38 mg/L. Berdasarkan analisis data kualitas air menggunakan metode STORET didapatkan hasil bahwa perairan Sungai Bango berdasarkan rata – rata perhitungan metode STORET tergolong kriteria sedang dengan status tercemar sedang (Kelas C). Golongan kualitas air kelas C termasuk dalam kategori air yang digunakan untuk keperluan perikanan dan peternakan.   The reduced availability of clean water sources is caused by pollution in rivers as one of the sources of clean water on the surface. Administratively, the Bango watershed covers three regions, namely Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City. The existence of Bango River is very important for the community around the river, such as used for bathing, cooking, irrigation, and others. The purpose of this study is to determine the condition of water quality and determine the status of water quality in Bango River. The method used to determine the level of pollution is using the STORET method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from interviews with the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup and secondary data is obtained from the results of Bango River water quality measurements in 2020 to 2022 from the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup of Malang City. Water quality measurements were carried out at 3 station points with sampling times in April - June for each year. The water quality parameters used are physical parameters, namely temperature ranging from 23.7 - 29.9°C, Total Suspended Solid (TSS) ranging from 3.8 - 98.3 mg/L, chemical parameters used, namely pH ranging from 6.46 - 8.4, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) ranging from 4 - 7 mg/L, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) ranging from <1.83 - 5.44 mg/L, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) ranging from <3.492 - 51.38 mg/L. Based on the analysis of water quality data using the STORET method, the results show that the waters of the Bango River based on the average calculation of the STORET method are classified as medium criteria with moderately polluted status (Class C). Class C water quality groups are included in the category of water used for fisheries and livestock purposes.
