Abstract

This study addresses the growing need for reliable data access systems by focusing on the validation of SQL queries generated from natural language using a Text-to-SQL approach. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of a rule-based SQL grammar validator in detecting syntactic errors and improving the overall quality of queries generated by Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly in the context of Indonesian language input. The research methodology follows a structured process, including literature review, dataset construction, system design, implementation, and performance evaluation. Two datasets were developed: one for validating the grammar checker using both valid and invalid SQL queries, and another for evaluating the Text-to-SQL system. The validator was implemented using a rule-based system with grammar defined in EBNF and executed using forward chaining inference. The results indicate that the system achieves high performance, with an accuracy of 0.909, precision of 0.857, recall of 1.000, and F1-score of 0.923. The validator successfully identifies common structural errors such as missing table references and incomplete JOIN clauses. However, some limitations remain in detecting more complex syntax patterns. Overall, the integration of the grammar checker significantly enhances the reliability of SQL query generation. In conclusion, the proposed system demonstrates strong effectiveness in syntax validation and contributes to improving the robustness of Text-to-SQL systems.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of an online correspondence system website in Tamban Village with the aim of facilitating more effective and efficient access to and management of administrative correspondence services for the community, village officials, and administrators. The Extreme Programming (XP) method was used, which includes the phases of planning, design, coding, and testing. To ensure that the system met user requirements, data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature review, and then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques to evaluate system requirements and the results of system testing. The findings show that, through an iterative development approach involving system analysis, construction, and testing, the developed website was able to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of correspondence services. As a result, this online correspondence system can meet user needs, provide practical solutions for managing village administration, and help improve the quality of public services by making them more efficient, transparent, and structured. This study is limited by the fact that system testing was conducted on a limited scale and did not include in-depth cybersecurity testing, therefore, future research is recommended to develop more comprehensive security features and conduct system testing with a larger number of users.

Abstract

The Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN) program through the BERSINAR Village in Tulungagung Regency still faces problems in the dissemination of information that tends to be conventional, unintegrated, and difficult for the public to access widely. This condition has an impact on the low reach of information, minimal public understanding, and limited public participation in supporting the P4GN program. This study aims to develop a BERSINAR Village information system website that functions as an integrated medium for delivering program information, a means of policy socialization, and public education regarding the dangers of narcotics and prevention efforts. The website development was carried out using the Extreme Programming (XP) method which includes the stages of planning, design, coding, and testing, with an emphasis on user involvement in each stage of development. System requirements data were collected through observation and interviews with relevant parties, then analyzed to determine the system's features and functionality. System testing was carried out using black box testing to ensure all functions run according to requirements. The results of the study indicate that the developed website is able to support more effective information delivery and has the potential to increase community participation in the BERSINAR Village program.
