Abstract

Organic pesticides (natural) are medicinal herbs for controlling plant pests and diseases made from natural ingredients. One of the plants that can be used as a natural pesticide is a papaya leaf for pest aphids (sucker pest), grasshoppers and caterpillars. Some advantages of vegetable pesticides are, 1) friendly to the environment because it does not contain harmful chemicals; 2) the residue does not settle on the ground: 3) does not cause resistance / immunity of the pest; 4) can consume healthy food because not polluted dangerous chemicals; 5) low cost because it uses simple technology. Implementation of training of natural pesticide manufacture in Baru Village Reok District is with papaya leaf base, detergent and water. The result of this training is that people are satisfied and interested in doing it themselves at home and then used on agricultural land. The advantages of the pesticide is because the process of making it very simple and by using materials that are cheap and easy
