Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of using the Duolingo application in learning English pronunciation. This was descriptive qualitative research. The participants consisted of 24 undergraduate students at Institut Az Zuhra. Interviews and observations were conducted to collect data. They were chosen due to lacking at pronouncing the words. It was because they did not get activity about pronunciation when they were in school. After conducting the research, it was found that the Duolingo application used in pronunciation class was effective to be applied. It was fun, enjoyable, interesting, and motivating for the students. It improved their confidence and reduced their pronunciation anxiety. Additionally, there are some limitations of using the Duolingo application, such as annoying advertisements, and it cannot be accessed offline.

Abstract

The future of education is aligned with advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology that significantly change how we learn, teach, and manage educational systems. This article reviews the critical role of AI technology in improving the quality of education in the digital era. AI technology allows for better personalization of education according to each student's needs and interests and changes how teachers teach and students learn. By using machine learning algorithms and data analysis learning algorithms and data analysis, education systems can identify patterns in student learning behavior, predict individual needs, and provide timely interventions. The article also highlights the challenges and opportunities in implementing AI technology in schools, including data privacy concerns, digital divides, and new skills required by educators. By understanding AI technology's role in improving education quality, we can design a more inclusive, responsive, and effective education system for a better future.

Abstract

The digital transformation of agriculture has created new opportunities and challenges for accounting education, particularly in developing social accounting competencies related to sustainability and social responsibility. This study aims to examine the effect of an IoT-based goat farming learning system on the development of social accounting competencies in vocational and applied accounting education. Using a quantitative explanatory research design, this study integrates a technology-enhanced learning approach supported by real-time data generated from IoT-enabled goat farming systems. Data were collected from students participating in IoT-based learning activities and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that the IoT-based goat farming learning system has a positive and significant effect on social accounting competencies, including the ability to identify, measure, interpret, and report social and environmental impacts. The findings demonstrate that real-time livestock data provide an effective experiential learning environment that bridges the gap between abstract social accounting concepts and practical applications. This study contributes to accounting education literature by repositioning IoT-based livestock systems as pedagogical platforms rather than purely operational tools. The study also offers practical implications for educators, curriculum designers, and policymakers seeking to strengthen sustainability-oriented accounting education in digitally transformed agribusiness contexts.
