Abstract

Cooperatives as member-based financial institutions have an important role in supporting the welfare of their members. However, the diversity of member characteristics, both in terms of length of membership and the amount of monthly savings, poses challenges in formulating effective management strategies. This study aims to group cooperative members based on financial transaction data patterns using a data mining approach. The method used is the K-Means Clustering algorithm, with the main variables using RFMP analysis (Recency, Frequency, Monetary and Payment), namely length of membership (Recency), frequency of savings in a year (Frequency), amount of monthly savings (Monetary) and timely loan payments (Payment). Data is processed through a pre-processing stage, the data is normalized using the Min–Max Scaling method to equalize unit differences between variables, Determination of the optimal number of clusters is done using the Elbow Method, which shows that the best number of clusters is three groups. The results of the study with a total of 50 transaction data resulted in cooperative members being divided into three clusters. The first cluster is at-risk members at 36%, the second cluster is potential members at 40%, and the third cluster is loyal or exclusive members at 24%. These findings provide practical solutions for cooperatives in developing member management strategies. Existing members need to be motivated to increase savings, new members need coaching to foster loyalty, and premium members need special services to maintain their satisfaction. Thus, clustering results can form the basis for data-driven decision-making in cooperative management.

Abstract

Pekalongan City is one of the cities where batik grows. Until now, there are thousands of batiks MSMEs spread across many points in Pekalongan. To introduce batik MSMEs to the general public, a WebGIS-based platform is needed as an information center for Pekalongan batik. This research aims to build a website-based Geographic Information System (GIS) using GeoJSON as a platform for mapping the distribution of MSMEs of Batik and a digital batik literacy center in Pekalongan City. The GeoJSON method is used because it has the ability to read population data in only 14.7 seconds, loading geographic data via the GIS REST API usually takes 38.4 seconds, this makes it very suitable for use in web applications. Its simplicity, compatibility and platform independence have contributed to the geospatial community. GeoJSON is a natural fit with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, which makes it easy to use in web application development and integrates with web service APIs. The test scenario results obtained a total score of 85.8 and the System Usability Scale (SUS) test results obtained a total score of 83.5, which places it in the very good category. The SUS rating scale indicates that potential users find this application easy to use. The design of this application based on test results shows a better effect in terms of ease of use, apart from that, potential users generally give positive marks, so it can be concluded that the implementation of WebGIS using the GeoJSON method for visualizing the distribution of Batik MSMEs can be implemented very well.

Abstract

Personal money management is often overlooked by most people, irregular financial management often results in a mismatch between income and expenses, thus triggering uncontrolled spending. This study ims to improve the efficiency of user habits in recording finances by implementing a reminder (notification) feature using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on the SmartMoney application. The data collection method for this study uses questionnaires and research, based on an initial survey conducted by distributing questionnaires, as many as 73% of them rarely record transactions because they forget and feel the manual recording process is inefficient. The SmartMoney application development process uses the Incremental Development method, Meanwhile, functional testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to check the extent to which reminder messages were successfully received under various application usage conditions. Testing was carried out 10 times per device for a total of 30 trials. The test results showed that notification messages were successfully delivered 95% of the 30 trials, whether the application was running in the foreground, background, or had been completely closed. The implementation of FCM has proven effective in providing transaction information directly to users (Killed). Therefore, this study shows that the implementation of Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) is able to create effective and consistent push notification (Notification Reminder) feature for users so that it can increase the efficiency of more orderly financial recording.
