Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the professional ethics of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers on students’ morality at SDN Panglegur 2, Pamekasan, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of IRE. This qualitative study employed observations, interviews, and document analysis to collect data from IRE teachers and students. Data validity was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that IRE teachers function not only as educators but also as role models who demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviors in daily interactions. The implementation of professional ethics is reflected in teachers’ discipline, responsibility, exemplary conduct, and effective communication skills. These ethical qualities contribute positively to students’ moral development by enhancing discipline, politeness, learning motivation, and cooperative attitudes. In addition, teacher involvement, a supportive school environment, and consistent school routines strengthen the internalization of positive values among students. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including students’ diverse backgrounds, limited self-confidence among some learners, and restricted instructional time. Therefore, the consistent application of professional ethics by IRE teachers is essential for fostering students’ moral growth and should be continuously supported to achieve optimal educational outcomes.

This study aims to examine the internalization of teacher professional ethics values through collaborative learning strategies in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at SMPN 7 Pamekasan. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was employed to explore how professional ethics are manifested in the teaching and learning process. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and students, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that implementing collaborative learning provides a conducive environment for the internalization of professional ethical values, including responsibility, discipline, honesty, fairness, exemplary behavior, and effective communication. These values are reflected in teachers’ interactions with students, classroom management practices, and the facilitation of group-based learning activities. Furthermore, collaborative learning encourages active participation, mutual respect, teamwork, and shared responsibility among students, thereby improving both academic and social learning outcomes. The study concludes that the successful internalization of teacher professional ethics significantly contributes to the effectiveness of collaborative learning in Islamic Religious Education. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ ethical competencies is crucial for creating an engaging, inclusive, and value-oriented learning environment.

Abstract

This research focuses on the application of the teacher professional code of ethics to support students' understanding of moral values in the digital era. Advances in modern technology offer convenience to students' lives, but at the same time, they also pose challenges in shaping students' morals and character. Amidst the development of digital technology, teachers not only carry out educational functions but also play a strategic role as role models in instilling moral values in students through the implementation of a professional code of ethics. To provide a better understanding of the subject under study, this study employed a qualitative methodology with a descriptive design. To obtain data, teachers and the Vice Principal for Public Relations at SMAN 1 Galis Pamekasan were interviewed. Documentation and relevant library sources were also included. As this research demonstrates, understanding professional ethics helps teachers become more professional. This is crucial in the process of teaching morality to students. School codes of ethics are implemented in various ways. Providing good role models, creating tangible good habits, improving student character, controlling attitudes through discipline, and incorporating ethical principles into learning activities are all examples. Various new problems arise in society amid the rapid advancement of digital technology. The increasing ease of disseminating information, the significant impact of social media on people's behavior, changes in how people interact and communicate, and the increasing likelihood of inappropriate and unethical behavior in the digital world are some of these challenges. To create students who can wisely and responsibly address the challenges of the digital age, teachers must build a strong foundation of character and personality. By using communicative and humanistic strategies, teachers also play a role in enhancing their professional abilities as educators, improving digital literacy skills, and building collaboration with schools and parents.

Abstract

Using a model method to study Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN Murtajih 3 Pamekasan, this study aims to explain the ethics of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher profession and also consider the factors that influence and affect the ethics of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher profession. This qualitative study used data, interviews, and documents from PAI teachers and students. Data analysis included data dissemination, drawing conclusions, and data reduction, as well as ensuring triangulation techniques and sources. The results showed that teachers' views on discipline and responsibility were very important. Honesty and politeness were evident in their interactions with their students. In addition to teaching, teachers were kind to their students in their daily lives. Teachers arrived on time, spoke well, and explained the school's religious attitudes to students. The results showed that teachers behaved well beyond teaching. This model method improved student behavior, as indicated by increased student discipline, politeness, and respect for teachers, as well as increased student participation in class. Different students, teacher commitment, and the impact of the environment outside of school were helpful factors; however, different students and the application of consistent values were inhibiting factors. Therefore, to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and develop the character of students in elementary schools, teachers must apply their professional ethics consistently in their learning activities.
