Abstract

Wildlife corridors are critical for maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem services, especially in fragmented landscapes. These corridors facilitate species movement, promote genetic diversity, and enhance ecosystem resilience. Understanding their role is essential for effective conservation strategies in the face of habitat loss and climate change. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of wildlife corridors in supporting biodiversity and providing essential ecosystem services. The study seeks to identify key factors influencing the success of these corridors and their impact on wildlife populations and ecosystem health. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from ecological surveys with qualitative insights from stakeholder interviews. Field studies were conducted in various ecosystems with established wildlife corridors, focusing on species movement patterns, population dynamics, and ecosystem service assessments. Findings indicate that wildlife corridors significantly enhance biodiversity by facilitating species dispersal and reducing isolation. The study revealed increased species richness and improved ecosystem services, such as pollination and seed dispersal, in areas connected by corridors. Stakeholder feedback highlighted the importance of community involvement in corridor management. This study concludes that wildlife corridors play a vital role in maintaining biodiversity and enhancing ecosystem services. Effective management and community engagement are essential for the success of these corridors. Policymakers and conservationists must prioritize the establishment and maintenance of wildlife corridors to mitigate the impacts of habitat fragmentation and support ecological health.

Abstract

Forests play a crucial role in regulating the water cycle and controlling flood risks, serving as natural buffers against extreme weather events. The ability of forests to influence local hydrological cycles through processes like transpiration, infiltration, and water retention is essential for maintaining ecosystem balance and human livelihoods. However, deforestation and land-use changes are significantly altering these processes, leading to increased flood risks and water scarcity in many regions. This study aims to explore the role of forests in water cycle regulation and their effectiveness in flood control, with a focus on identifying the mechanisms through which forests influence hydrological processes. The research also seeks to evaluate the impact of forest degradation on flood intensity and water resource availability. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining remote sensing data, hydrological modeling, and field observations. Data were collected from three forested regions with varying degrees of human activity. Water flow rates, soil moisture levels, and vegetation cover were monitored across these sites to assess the hydrological impact of forest ecosystems on local water systems. The findings indicate that intact forests significantly reduce flood risks by enhancing water infiltration and promoting soil retention. Deforestation and land degradation led to higher surface runoff, reduced groundwater recharge, and increased flood occurrence. Forests with greater biodiversity showed more resilience in maintaining these functions. The study concludes that forests are vital to water cycle regulation and flood mitigation. Conservation and restoration of forest ecosystems are essential for maintaining hydrological stability and reducing the adverse impacts of floods.

Abstract

Adolescent mental health is increasingly impacted by the pervasive use of digital technology, with rising rates of anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. Traditional therapeutic approaches often face barriers in accessibility and engagement among adolescents. Mobile app-based therapy programs offer a promising alternative by providing accessible, scalable, and user-friendly interventions. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a mobile app-based therapy program in addressing mental health challenges among adolescents. The research aimed to assess the impact of the program on reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing overall well-being. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. A total of 120 adolescents aged 13 to 18 years were randomly assigned to an intervention group using the therapy app and a control group receiving standard care. Data were collected using standardized mental health scales and semi-structured interviews. The results demonstrated significant improvements in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Participants in the intervention group reported reduced anxiety and depression symptoms and increased emotional regulation scores. The study concludes that mobile app-based therapy programs are effective tools for improving adolescent mental health.

Abstract

The advent of next-generation memory devices necessitates materials that exhibit superior dielectric properties. Multiferroics, materials that exhibit simultaneous ferroelectric and magnetic ordering, have emerged as promising candidates for enhancing memory device performance due to their unique attributes. This study aims to investigate the dielectric properties of various multiferroic materials and their implications for next-generation memory applications. The focus is on understanding how these properties can be optimized to improve device efficiency and functionality. A series of multiferroic samples were synthesized using sol-gel and solid-state methods. Dielectric measurements were conducted over a range of frequencies and temperatures to characterize their dielectric constant, loss tangent, and temperature dependence. Comparative analyses with traditional dielectric materials were performed to evaluate performance. The findings reveal that specific multiferroic materials exhibit significantly enhanced dielectric properties compared to conventional dielectrics. Notable improvements in dielectric constant and reduced loss tangent were observed, indicating potential for better energy storage and lower power consumption in memory devices. The research demonstrates that multiferroics possess advantageous dielectric properties that can be harnessed for next-generation memory devices. Continued exploration of these materials is essential for advancing memory technology and developing more efficient, high-performance devices in the future.

Abstract

The increasing global demand for Indonesian language learning (BIPA) necessitates systematic, scalable error analysis to optimize pedagogical interventions, a task severely hindered by the limitations of manual correction. This study aimed to develop and validate a specialized Natural Language Processing (NLP) framework to automatically classify linguistic errors in BIPA written output and generate a statistically generalizable error map for curriculum reform. The research employed a corpus-based, developmental design, building a BIPA-Optimized NLP Error Classification Pipeline and validating it on a corpus of over 500,000 words. The model achieved a high F1-score of 0.89. Findings revealed a high error density (7.2 per 100 words), with Affix Misapplication constituting the most resistant obstacle (45% of all errors). Crucially, ANOVA confirmed a non-significant reduction rate of these errors across proficiency levels (p=0.316), indicating that simple exposure is insufficient. The study concludes that the NLP pipeline successfully provides the first objective diagnostic standard for BIPA pedagogy, proving that the difficulty is structural. This mandates an urgent shift toward systematic, targeted remediation strategies focused on the most persistent error sub-types, enabling evidence-based curriculum development.

Abstract

The role of Muslim communities in addressing contemporary social issues in Western countries has garnered increasing attention within the sociology of Islam. As these communities grow and diversify, their interactions with broader societal structures pose both challenges and opportunities for social cohesion. This study investigates the multifaceted contributions of Muslim communities in addressing social issues such as discrimination, inequality, and cultural integration in Western societies. The research aims to explore how these communities engage with civil society and policy frameworks to foster positive change and promote mutual understanding. Employing a qualitative methodology, the study integrates in-depth interviews, participant observations, and a review of secondary data from case studies in key Western countries. The findings reveal that Muslim communities play a significant role in advocating for social justice, challenging stereotypes, and building interfaith dialogue. These efforts are often mediated through community organizations, religious institutions, and grassroots initiatives, highlighting their agency in shaping inclusive societal norms. The study concludes that Muslim communities contribute to resolving social issues through adaptive strategies that balance Islamic principles with contemporary societal demands.
