Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationships between Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Measurement, Employee Performance, and Organizational Effectiveness. The research employs multiple statistical analyses to assess the validity, reliability, and normality of the variables involved, as well as their impact on organizational outcomes. The results indicate a strong and statistically significant positive correlation between KPI Measurement (X1), Employee Performance (X2), and Organizational Effectiveness (Y), with all variables showing high reliability and normal distribution. Furthermore, the regression analysis reveals that 62.3% of the variation in Organizational Effectiveness is explained by KPI Measurement and Employee Performance. The findings suggest that both KPI Measurement and Employee Performance significantly contribute to improving Organizational Effectiveness, with each having a positive effect. These results emphasize the importance of performance management systems and employee performance in enhancing organizational outcomes. The study provides valuable insights for organizations aiming to improve their effectiveness through better KPI measurements and employee performance strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills are a crucial aspect of handling medical emergencies, especially in a general hospital environment. In this context, CPR training is important to increase the competency of medical personnel in responding to emergencies involving cardiac or respiratory arrest. However, the direct impact of CPR training on the performance of medical practitioners in emergency management still requires more in-depth research. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of CPR skills training on emergency management in public hospitals. The primary focus is to determine whether CPR training improves medical practitioners' readiness and performance in responding to emergencies, as well as whether it helps in increasing patient survival rates. This research method uses a case study approach in a particular public hospital. The results showed that CPR skills training significantly improved the performance of medical practitioners in handling emergencies in public hospitals. The group that had undergone CPR training showed a faster and more effective response rate in providing emergency resuscitation measures. In addition, there is a significant increase in the survival rate of patients who receive treatment from medical practitioners who have been trained in CPR. This research concludes that CPR skills training has a significant positive impact on handling emergencies in public hospitals. The increased performance of medical practitioners in responding to emergencies and the increase in patient survival rates are strong evidence of the importance of CPR training in increasing the readiness and effectiveness of medical treatment in the hospital environment. Therefore, it is recommended that CPR training continue to be improved and routinely integrated into medical personnel training programs.

Abstract

Access to healthcare services in remote areas remains a significant global challenge, with many populations experiencing disparities in healthcare availability, quality, and affordability. Sustainable health models that ensure universal access to health services are essential for improving public health outcomes in underserved areas. This study investigates the potential for sustainable health models to increase healthcare access in remote regions, focusing on the role of telemedicine, mobile health clinics, and community health workers. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals and quantitative data on healthcare access and outcomes in remote communities. The findings indicate that telemedicine platforms have improved healthcare delivery by 40%, while mobile health clinics and trained community health workers have expanded service reach, particularly in geographically isolated areas. Furthermore, community-based health interventions have led to a 30% reduction in preventable diseases in these regions. The study concludes that integrating technology with community-based solutions offers a scalable and effective approach to achieving universal health access in remote areas. However, challenges such as technology infrastructure, resource allocation, and healthcare workforce training need to be addressed to ensure the sustainability of these models.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of global morbidity and mortality. Cardiovascular health screening programs are essential public health strategies for early identification of heart disease risk. This study aimed to analyze the management of cardiovascular health screening in Pekanbaru City using a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data were collected from 384 respondents aged 40 years and above, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 21 key informants and focus group discussions with 20 community participants. The results showed extremely low screening coverage (1.82% of the target population of 366,154). Analysis using the Donabedian model identified significant deficits in the structure dimension (only 26.7% of trained health workers, 66.7% of primary health centers lacked cholesterol testing equipment, and minimal budget allocation of Rp 15-25 million/year) and process dimension (absence of standardized SOPs, ineffective risk communication). Bivariate analysis revealed that good knowledge (OR=6.47; p<0.001), close proximity to facilities (OR=2.96; p<0.001), positive attitudes (OR=2.61; p<0.001), and family support (OR=2.27; p<0.001) were significantly associated with screening participation. These findings indicate the need for systematic improvements including capacity building of health workers, provision of adequate equipment, standardization of procedures, and strengthening of risk communication systems to optimize cardiovascular health screening programs in Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

Palliative care requires evidence-based, person-centered interventions capable of addressing multidimensional symptoms while preserving comfort, dignity, and safety. This study aimed to develop and preliminarily evaluate an evidence-based nursing protocol for integrating virtual reality technology into palliative care. A methodological development design was employed through three sequential phases: evidence synthesis, modified Delphi expert validation, and clinical feasibility testing involving 30 palliative-care patients and 10 nurses. The final protocol achieved strong expert agreement, with a scale-level content validity index of 0.96, and demonstrated a 93.3% patient completion rate. Significant short-term reductions were observed in pain, anxiety, distress, and overall well-being burden, while fatigue showed a smaller and non-significant change. Patient willingness to repeat virtual reality exposure was high, although two sessions were discontinued because of dizziness or increasing fatigue. The findings indicate that virtual reality is most clinically useful when embedded within structured nursing assessment, individualized content selection, continuous safety monitoring, and post-intervention reassessment. The study concludes that virtual reality should be implemented as an adjunctive, nurse-governed intervention rather than a stand-alone technology, with larger controlled trials required to confirm effectiveness, sustainability, and applicability across diverse palliative-care settings, and to determine optimal intervention duration, frequency, personalization, and implementation requirements in routine practice.
