Abstract

This community service activity aims to analyze the village potential and formulate a sustainable Bayan spiritual ecotourism model as an accelerator for Bayan Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency, towards the status of Empowered Village. Bayan Village in North Lombok has unique potential in the form of the sacred site of the Bayan Beleq Ancient Mosque and the local wisdom of Wetu Telu, but this potential is threatened by the risk of commercialization and the lack of structured customary governance. The method used is action research with a participatory qualitative approach, through SWOT analysis, FGDs, and customary workshops involving the Customary Council, Pokdarwis, and BUMDes. The results of this service produce scientific findings that the educational ecotourism model is only sustainable if the absolute authority of the customary council is determined as the main control variable that limits zoning and commercial activities. Based on these findings, a Bayan spiritual-customary ecotourism model is formulated that clearly distinguishes the sacred core zone and the educational buffer zone. This community service activity also successfully increased the human resources capacity of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) through ethical storytelling training, which serves as a filtering mechanism for cultural values. The main output of this activity was a strategic roadmap integrated into the village planning document (RPJMDes), which serves as an operational guide for the development of Bayan Village towards an Empowered Village through the synergy of cultural preservation, social empowerment, and local economic empowerment.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop a digital business strategy for silver craftsmen and songket weavers in Ungga Village, Central Lombok, as an effort to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the Industry 4.0 era. The program is carried out using a participatory and collaborative approach, involving 20 local business actors through four main stages: 1) observation and mapping of business potential; 2) digital literacy and online marketing training; 3) assistance in the implementation of digital strategies; and 4) evaluation and reflection on the results of activities. Training materials include creative content creation, product branding, social media management, and data-driven marketing. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' digital skills, characterized by the ability to manage business accounts on social media and marketplaces independently. The implementation of digital marketing strategies also has an impact on increasing average sales by 30%. The Ungga Digital Creative community was also formed as a forum for collaboration and sustainability of the digital-based creative economy ecosystem. Overall, this program is an integrative model of MSME mentoring, combining technology literacy, digital marketing practices, and strengthening community networks.

Abstract

Malnutrition remains a significant public health problem in developing countries, including Indonesia. In addition to stunting that has received a lot of attention, the problem of underweight nutrition in toddlers still requires serious studies and interventions. This study aims to model the nonlinear relationship between age and weight of toddlers, as well as identify factors that affect the incidence of underweight in West Lombok Regency. The semiparametric approach is used by applying piecewise polynomial regression and truncated splines with variations in polynomial orders and number of node points. The research data included toddler weight as a response variable, as well as 22 predictor variables representing the child's health condition, maternal characteristics, feeding practices, and household sanitation. The selection of the best model is made based on the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) criteria. The results of the analysis showed that the two-order piecewise polynomial model with four knots was the best model, indicated by the lowest AIC value and the coefficient of determination (R²) of 97%. These findings indicate that the problem of underweight in toddlers is complex and multidimensional, requiring an integrated intervention approach across sectors. The semiparametric approach has been shown to be effective in capturing the growth patterns of toddlers that are not linear and dynamic.
